Looking at the various forms of releases I am confused as to which one to pre-order. From my understanding, if you pre-order the Digital Version, you receive copies for both the Xbox One and PC. Where as if you order the physical copies, you still get a digital copy for the PC, but it is a one time token and non transferable.
So, does that mean with the Digital versions, you can install more than once for the PC? The reason I’m asking is because I want to install it on my laptop, then my desktop later on. I don’t want to buy the physical copy and then get stuck with a one time install for the PC. Another issue is that the pricing varies too if you get the digital versus teh physical, through Amazon at least. Any clarification would be much appreciated.
Yes, you can install/download any xbox digital game (play anywhere title) more than once on any PC. For example, i have Gears 4, Halo wars 1 and 2 currently installed on my laptop and my PC.
The physical XBox version version does not give you access to the PC version of HW2 at all, so you definitely want digital if you are interested in PC play.
If you are in Europe you can buy a “physical” PC version of the Ultimate Edition with the packaging and installation disks, but the actual license for the game is just a standard Play Anywhere code.
I understand that only Europe is getting the physical copies for the PC.
And through slickdeals.net via Amazon, Prime members get the ultimate and Standard addition 20% off. As seen here, but I believe this is for the physical version only?
