I played around with the data exploration tool Tableau Public yesterday.
They limit the dataset size to 15 million rows but I was able to feed the tool with the Halo Wars 2 match data between July 2017 and June 2018.
Turns out, you can build beautiful Halo Wars dashboards!
Feel free to download the workbook and play around with the data yourself.
The different sheets:
Matches - Match counts across the different playlists aggregated by week.
Player - Activity, MMR, CSR plots for individual players.
Leader - Leader statistics similar to those on www.didact.io (+ Match counts & MMR range slider)
You can use the filter forms to explore the data yourself in the browser.
Probably won’t work too good on mobile.
Don’t worry if it’s loading a few seconds, you’re querying the real data here.
It’s really impressive how they manage to query these dashboards in seconds instead of minutes/hours.

Well, apparently people are not overly excited to explore the halo wars data.
I’ll probably add a leaderboard to the workbook, shut down www.didact.io and update the workbook every 7 to 14 days.
Just hit me up if I start forgetting it, I just need to upload the updated CSVs every now and then.
