have a hard time with this game, every time i start the game, it crashes at some random point in the first rendered campaign cut scene to desktop without any error message or anything. My system specs as follow are
i7 6700k Gigabyte gtx 1080 extreme edition- SLI Gigabyte z170 gaming 7 32 gb ram Windows 10 Education edition Creative sound blaster zxr
All drivers are updated,(Nvidia drivers are 384.94)
The game itself is installled on a samsung ssd 850 evo 1tb drive, my boot drive is Samsung 950 pro 256 gb.
Also i tried to skip the cutscenes and then the game crashed ata random point in the first mission. I disabled my sli and tried to run the game at 1080p instead of my default 1440p.
the game itself is an ultimate version and i also have the game installed on my xbox one s.
Thank you for all the information, I’m going to dig in and see if I can identify the crash.
I am having the same issue. Crashes mid-cut-scene somewhere in the first minute. Story seems interesting so I don’t really want to skip it. Any fix?
EDIT: Skipped the cutscene and completed the first mission. 2nd mission cutscene crashed the game again and skipped that one after watching it on YouTube. 2 minutes into the 2nd mission the video froze but I could move the cursor and could hear the game working. This has to be the buggiest game I have ever purchased, and I bought The Angel of Darkness and Daikatana. 6 months after release and still can’t even make it past the 2nd mission without crashes?
Windows 10, nVidia 1080Ti SLI on 385.41 (08/23/2017) in the US.
Same thing. I crash on the Title Screen every time I launch the game! Latest drivers, Windows up to date. All other games run flawlessly, only HW2 does that.
One thing worth noting is that it seems the video driver is the one crashing, cause sometimes when I crash, i can still hear the game running in the background.
I bought the game and can’t play a single minute of it. This is very frustrating.
Possible solution: Some people claim if you install it to your C drive it’ll work fine. mine is installed on a secondary SSD. This is quite inconvenient as I need all the space on my C!!
Edit: Scratch that. Didn’t solve it.
