Hi,
After several attempts to resolve this issue on my own, I have failed. I got as far as Act I: The Cartographer, and up to this point the game will not load. It goes to a black screen with the game audio in the background, and sometimes the game shows but I cannot do anything and you see bits of code.
Here’s what I’ve done:
Reinstalled it 2 times
Contacted Microsoft and they weren’t able to help me.
I’ve resetted my console to factory defaults.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is a digital copy, and all apps and games work. I have the same issue with my other Xbox One and HW2.
Have you deleted your old game save file and started the campaign over from the start?

I have not. I didn’t want to start all over.

This happens to me on another game. Your situation sounds almost identical to what happens to me.
Unfortunately, I believe your save file is corrupted. You must delete it, and start over
I know that sucks. I have yet to start my other game (it is not Halo Wars 2 by the way) necause I was in the final missions, with all but 2 collectible left to find. But you are still early in the game

Damn. I will try it. I’m not going anywhere on this stage anyways. Lol. Thanks NxtDoc1851, I’ll update if this works.

Yikes! Sorry about those errors. *Happened to me Darn auto-correct. Please do. I hope that works for you. Halo Wars 2 is really good!

The same thing is happening to me. I cant load my save. When i try it freezes, making a buzzing sound. Then the game restarts. 
Game crashes when loading campaign. Every time. >:(
The recent patch corrupted all of my prior campaign save files. I’ve seen numerous reports of this, so this is probably what happened to you. Try starting the mission you’re on from the beginning via the mission select menu. That worked for me. Any future saves you make should be OK to load.

Yeah that’s exactly what is still happening to me. I took the previous advice NxtDoc1851,and now it crashes on my new game.

I am sad to report this did not work for me.
