OT: I am actually impressed and excited with this gameplay. It’s nice to see the game looking better and smoother.

I meant the Spirit of fire went missing before 117 was promoted to master chief petty officer. I made some investigating and now I’m not sure if that is the case. I don’t know if we know exactly when Master Chief was promoted.

That’s kind of how Brutes have always been portrayed. Atriox is notable because he’s an exception to the whole “brute” shtick, much like how Ripa Moramee was an exception among Elites in the first Halo Wars (which is a nice parallel).

I undestand until the “there was a battle here. the Master Chief lead the charge”, after that I don’t understand due to the music and noise.

Maybe slightly orkish in Halo 2 but in halo 3 they had a more unique organized military tactics. They also didnt have goofy looking impractical mech suits with exposed heads.
It feels like a cheap regression and a waste of an opportunity to portay the brutes in the banished as mere hairy orks. Even the jump pack brutes have a mild goofiness to thier jump attacks reminiscent of Ork Stormboyz. I really hope they change the design but it seems like they have locked themselves into a Brutes = Orks mindset. Pretty sad tbh. I respected brutes more in Halo 3 with their bubble shields and captains.
Hmm that is pretty nice. I can’t wait for the game to come out. It also comes out 13 days after my birthday too so that is nice.

He already had the rank 2526 with Kelly already referring to him by that rank. John also introduces himself to regular personnel as the Master Chief. This is noted in Forward Unto Dawn. That’s a good five years before Red Team goes missing in 2531.
