I really like that 343 is going back to the roots of halo and not the shiny, clean style of halo 4 and 5. I missed the grit of halo, the marines with their green armor, the veichles kicking up dirt and dust as they drove on, the the classic master chief armor, the list goes on. Whenever I look at forums I see lots of hate towards 343 and everyone and I’d appreciate if there was no hate here. Thank you!

I agree. The new art style is not done tastefully. Everything is completely different and that is what I believe drove off fans. It’s not the same halo anymore. I understand that UNSC will change up designs but everything is horrible looking. I like the warthog that’s about it.
But building all look like plastic and sorta reminds me of black ops III ewww
The new art style is 343/Bungie hybrid which I approve to the rt style in the new Halo games.
The new art style is too complex. The old art style was nice and simple. I miss when the energy sword was round and not sharp. The armor was way better in Halo 3 and had more customization then Halo 5, in Halo 3 you could actually tell what armor someone was wearing but in Halo 5 you just wear the same armor but a different style. They should also return to the old sounds that made the weapons unique like the BR and AR, now those weapons just sound like standard military weapons and don’t feel like Halo. 343 set themselves up perfectly to bring this stuff back because the SoF (Spirit of Fire) only has classic weapons and now the UNSC can just switch to those weapons since they have a large inventory of those weapons. Please don’t miss the chance 343!

You all know that the cinematics mainly just use the H2A models, because Blur already created them?
They did the same with the H2A bookend cutscenes (with Locke and the Arbiter), so it’s not because they really wanted to have that art style, it’s just because this is cheaper for them (and also fits canonically in the case of HW2). If they wouldn’t have done H2A before, the HW2 models prob would’ve looked more like the H5 ones.

Art style/graphics are the best they’ve ever been, if you like the old, bust out your 360.
I like the new direction in art
