I do prefer Stephen Rippy’s music in Halo Wars. My favorite being Status Quo Show and We’re Burning Sunshine. I haven’t yet been able to get into the Halo Wars 2 music.

Infamy, Antediluvian, and Symbiosis are my favorites.
I agree. Halo wars 1 had more memorable tracks and themes. Halo wars 2 had a few good tracks but were rather generic.

Yeah man! You just say it. Halo Wars 2 takes HW music and take it to a higher level. I loves Ametista (Spanish name I think English is similar)
Both are good. HW1 music fits the tone of that game, one of mystery and awe, and melancholy followed by triumph/heroism. HW2 portrays a heavier, up against insurmountable odds, backs against the wall vibe, out-manned and out-gunned tone, with a greater sense of urgency. They both have their epic moments and their slow soothing ones too. I can dig em each equally. 
Completely disagree. HW2 has some really good music. A lot of the HW1 tracks were too mellow and one note. This made them forgettable. The main theme does a good job of conveying the plight of humanity and that’s the only memorable song.

Jk, I can agree on some songs, but overall, IMO, their tones can’t be compared because they have such individuality.

^^^ This is exactly what I thought as well when I was playing, which is probably why I felt less relaxed and more alert during some missions.
Also, Insignificantia is my absolute favorite from the first halo wars.
