343i Please Reset the Halo Wars 1 Leaderboards
While the HW Community patiently waits the arrival of Halo Wars 2, and many players have returned to the game. We would ask that you reset the Halo Wars Leaderboards, to help inspire more competition and fun to this old game. In the past Halo Wars would get a leader board reset every 1-2 years. We’ve not had one in a long time, and this would get players back into the game. Especially since Xbox 1 players will be playing Halo Wars 1 too!
The Halo Wars 1 Population has already risen 4,000 players since the announcement of Halo Wars 2!
We have people who play this game, upwards of 16,000! We deserve a Leaderboards Reset!

Only if they are willing to moderate the leaderboards would there be a point to this. That game has very little support, and I imagine very little surveillance beyond keeping the servers running. I’m not trying to like shoot down all of your ideas, I would love a reset, but with the return of old players comes the return of extreme boosting. They would have to be willing to increase the manpower on Halo Wars boosting activity, and with the way the old trueskill system is set up, that would be a laborious activity. But again, I am for it if they are willing to do increased game support for the next year.
Boosting is expected, there are people still boosting on the current screwed leader boards. Honestly 10 boosted accounts that people don’t play on, doesn’t really effect true skill as a whole. But after like 2 years of playing, and people making new accounts and people boosting, it adds up. The current true skill is super broken. With a reset it would help improve on searching for players of equal skill, and players may compete to have the highest legit skill. It’s easy to spot the boosting -Yoinks!-.

4,000 people? Last I checked, it said 975 people which I think is the lowest the total population will show.
As far as a leader board reset, I say no since it is an old game, there is no crippling exploits (cryo reactor glitch) that I am aware of, and I worked hard to get up on the SPC lifetime score and SPC best mission score.

He’s talking about how many have played in the last 24 hrs. Halowars.com > Game Stats will show how many have played in last 24 hrs.

It’s said 975 for almost half a year now.
Boosting has always been a problem in Halo Wars from the first day, countless Leaderboard resets haven’t fixed a thing.
Leaderboard reset isn’t a solution to the boosters, but more of a temporary fix. It also encourages many players to continue to play and support the game on our wait for Halo Wars 2.
Common concern that people have is thinking there are only 975 players on the game.
One day early morning during Halo Wars’s dead time, when there were only 975 players online the Population meter quit working. It’s been broken ever since. I hope they fix the Population Meter and do a Leader Board reset.
better remove the true skill system and just match us with anyone who still plays
I cannot wait to play Halo Wars on xbox one but they need to reset the leaderboard for that I agree.
XB1 backwards compatible I think will help out HW a lot.

Can’t remove it from HW without someone replacing it with a new system. That would take some work from someone that Microsoft/343i isn’t going to put on the job.
not enough people play hw so the matchmaking is all limited 
Would be slightly useless I feel since they’re coming out with HW2 and the population is so low on the original.
I think doing it will satisfy the players for the next year while we wait for HW2

every halo game has boosters an cheaters meaning the leaderboards are rarely he best players…
Knife Pro you were a known booster though. The only reason you would want a leaderboard reset is so you can boost to the top again and be the only 50.
