i grow weary of this argument
call of duty works with its features to achieve a different fan base than Halo does
if you strolled into a call of duty forum and started saying how cod should borrow (more) ideas from Halo people would get just as upset as some of as are here
no call of duty player is going to want armor lock or jet packs or energy shields in their game, why would we want to aim down the sights or have weapon classes with custom skins in our game?
im well aware that cod makes more money than Halo currently and that has caused some of you to ponder at its success and try to apply it here in the form of suggestions for the future of Halo
call of duty makes money because its gameplay has not changed in years, everyone knows what the new call of duty will play like
the moment you try to import things from their game into ours (even dumb little things like weapon skins) you start to make Halo stand out less, like Battlefield 3 does
we dont need another cod like game on the market, Halo is unique and an industry pioneer and should always remain such
will there be changes in Halo 4? sure
will they be call of duty like features? most likely not, those who really would like to see Halo pick up cod features are a very small minority of players who probably predominately play cod games or cod clones
so, killstreaks? youre kidding right? Halo is about you killing the other player and scoring a point, not scoring four points and getting a random helicopter to score 15 more points for you
weapon skins and attachments? that would require custom classes when, if anybody failed to notice, Halo is already about equal gameplay, all the weapons to play with are on the map and have reasonable spawn times. everyone can use the sniper, everyone can use the shotgun, in its pure simplistic form, no added on extras because youre a higher rank than me
now argue about this for 5 pages and then just make another thread with the same posts
