With Half Life: Alyx came out recently, what are the possibility of a Halo Virtual Reality video game happening in future Halo installments?
Not too likely, we have Halo Recruit but I don’t think that really counts.
It’s a shame because Halo is a ridiculously obvious choice for a VR game, with incredible super-structures, aliens, weapons, potential for interactivity and puzzles through Forerunner structures, and many pre-existing items which would make fans crazy.
Don’t tell me a full length Halo VR game where you play as a scientist on some supermassive forerunner installation which has been invaded by the Covenant does not sound interesting. Even something following Vale in the events of the book “Halo: Hunters in the Dark” would be great.
After playing Half-Life Alyx I just really, really want some more Halo Experimentation into Halo VR. It’s such a fantastic universe that needs something like this.
I feel like halo: recruit is a big let down because halo has so many recognisable places and large areas to explore. I think I saw someone make forge world playable in vr though.
I use a few different Elite avatars in VRchat, a few cool maps out there too. I mostly sign karaoke as a Zealot lol.
Any time soon? Highly unlikely. Microsoft, Valve, and HP are currently working on a “next-gen” VR headset so maybe after that is made they could work on one? Would be YEARS from now though I’m sure.
