Halo used to be a man's game

2 points here. 1) the most realistic military shooter I’ve played to date, is probably Battlefield Bad Company. 2) You’re trying to tell me that its “realistic or even logical” to assume that in 500 years we are still going to be using projectile weapons?

If you are basing everything you know about the military off of some movie or video game you’ve seen or played, you need just stop right now.

If you don’t like the cosmetics fine. But you’re arguments remain, idiotic. This is a video game, it is for entertainment purposes…if someone else wants to dress their Spartan up as a cat that’s their prerogative. If seeing them for 10 seconds at the start of the game is to much for you to handle, its time for you to find a different game to play.

For example. Some of my favorite movies are Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock rom. coms. Would it be correct to say that Pretty Woman is not a movie catered to women? No. It just means I like some girly things. La dee da the world keeps spinning.

Now do women and girls like Halo. Hell yes. Is it wrong to call it a “man’s game?” No. It just means they enjoy some boyish things. La dee da the world keeps spinning.

Realistic and logical meaning it follows the basics. You know. The gun has a trigger. People have clothes. It doesn’t matter how anyone veiws it. It’s still based in SOME reailtity. Your point about projectiles doesn’t fit here. The difference between weaponry and someone with walking flower petals is an extreme difference. Halo 4 put a mech vehicle. It “fits” what the game is.

If I can visually see other people in my life going through the same thing and me knowing them because they are family I can firmly tell you that it’s mostly serious. Might be some jokes and pranks here and there but overall it’s serious every day. You don’t see the color pink often. You see dirt and green.

And if you want to make a point about movies. They also take the same theme as well. A lot of camo. Brown. Green. It’s like that because it’s based on reality. Not because it’s some trope. That’s why I showed that Johnson clip because that’s the exact atmosphere I’m talking about. I feel that playing multiplayer is getting less serious and more arcady.

Also it’s not 10 seconds. There are multiple effects now and each match I’m seeing them because it’s there during gameplay. If it was 10 seconds I wouldn’t have much if a problem with it. There’s the after death effects. The walking effects. The skins that far different from what basic armours are. These things by themselves are fine. But seeing them 24/7 is not fun

Then play something else, your drivel is beyond annoying at this point.

“play something else” = “don’t give criticism, even dissenting opinion is bad”

I may be over the top now but as more updates come along we will see if it swings more in the Fortnite direction.

This just in fortnite created silly cosmetics

The store has pictures of coins. there is a game pass. There is a battle pass. There is seasons. More and more it’s becoming like fornite. Remember the store was there before a regular slayer playlist. This was their priority. If you think it’s not headed in that direction that’s ok but I feel there is clear evidence that it will continue further

You didn’t provide criticism. You provided a video clip, that by most standards would probably be considered “unprofessional.” You then call this “manly,” even though by most definitions it would be considered childish behavior.

You then reply with this nugget. Which is patently false.

When refuted, you just change up your argument a bit. Instead of acknowledging that you simply don’t know wtf you are talking about.

Combat arms is probably the most childish, immature organization on the planet. And it is most definitely, not “mostly serious,” its mostly bs.

Your issue is cosmetics in a game that has had stupid cosmetics since its inception. Like I said before, if you don’t like it, maybe its time to move on.

Ahh, funny vs serious isn’t the distinction he’s making, it’s manly vs girly

As someone who has voiced some criticisms over the game, it’s posts like this that make me understand those who label it as simply “complaining”.

Seriously it’s posts like these that drown out legitimate criticism

I would like to have an option to at least tone down the effects. I’ve already said this above. If that’s not feedback then Idk what to tell you

I have already said above that certain death animations of effects block parts of the screen when I’m trying to look down a hall way or something. If you choose to ignore that and just pay attention to the buzz words and banter then that’s on you.

That wasn’t the original post topic you were complaining that the series used to be manly now that is a legitimate criticism but it’s going to get drowned because it wasn’t the original topic

No, your original argument was these things didn’t belong, because they didn’t meet your definition of manliness. Not that it prevented you from seeing down a hall. Don’t try and flip this.

I wasn’t aware that conversations didn’t evelove. It’s that the point of the fourms. To discuss? How will you know what’s going on if you don’t read?

The fact that this thread has stayed open while mods spent yesterday closing down threads requesting better representation for women is a travesty imo. Like seriously?..

Those were legitimate requests, and this topic is horribly sexist, yet this thread is allowed to live on… bad look for the forums imo.

You said I didn’t provide criticism and I pointed to a random point stating that I did. So I didn’t flip anything. You just ignored what I said above like most people do here.

I’m still saying these things don’t belong. Just like flaming feet HOWEVER I am ok with them aslong is it’s not over the top. In my opinion it is on the border line of what Fortnite is doing and I think it will continue in that direction. You can disagree but what you are doing here is diluting my point.
