Halo used to be a man's game

I agree the pink flowers Armor effect isn’t very “Halo” and doesn’t suit the atmosphere but at the same time I get why they added it.
It’s for the Tenrai (Samurai) event as these pink leaves stem from the Japanese tree known as Somei-yoshino. In fact, everything in the store this week is geared towards Tenrai

I’ve been able to be hot pink since 2001. What’s up with all the misogyny lately?

Everything doesn’t have to be manly.

The body’s Ragdolls. Reach’s level of items(again I think Halo infinite just goes a bit too far)
The funny death screams.

The funny back and fourth master chief and Jonathon banter.

There were plenty of things that were either silly or funny. I’m saying as a base it should be more of a serious nature. Not A LOT. Just a bit more. I’m not asking for super ripped men to flood the arena bursting with testosterone lol. I just want it to be a little closer to what the old Halos we’re like. Where it was just enough and not overwhelming

Lol what? It’s a video game. If this is your measuring stick for “manliness” you may have some underlying issues

Being able to wear hot pink and seeing flower petals on the ground as people walk is an extreme difference.

I’m not bashing It either. I just don’t think it fits. Like a cowboy doesn’t fit in a sci-fi movie and so on

No. I just think it should be a bit more mature.

Now it should be more mature?

I don’t even know how to respond to this… What a waste of time everyone is spending in this thread.

I mean if they had the ability to do that back then, they probably would have. It’s not like it’s a 343i thing. Bungie added armor effects too when the engine could support the feature.

But I’ve been able to assign my emblem as a cat with a cowboy hat since 2005.

Wacky immersion breaking things have been a part of this franchise pretty much since the beginning.

In my opinion basic armours should have came first and or they should be priority. I’m talking mark v varaints or the eod variants. You know. The armours that follow the basic structure of of what a Spartan is suppose to look like. If they were trying to win battles in the Halo universe I don’t think they would put random things sticking out of their head. They would make it make more sense to wear for combat purposes.
I’m asking for the game to be at least based some reaitlty.

If you don’t like or are worried about the special effects affecting the game, you should feedback 343 to let them add the blocking option.
I hope they can make a variety of products to meet the needs of different customers.
343 should be pressured to provide these things.

A nameplate or emblem is not even close to what you see during game play. You don’t even have to look at the nameplate. You could just wait for the game to load and then play. It was non intrusive where as all these skins and effects I’m seeing them 24/7. It’s not like a nameplate or emblem at all

Idk why you even play this game.

Pretty much this. I’m not hating on any skin or effect. I just don’t want to see it. IDC if people use them. Let them have what they want but I shouldn’t be forced to see it all the time esspically effects that obstruct my veiw

“The reason is that the computer performance problem, the game is not running well, and the burden needs to be reduced”
Such feedback may be likely to be taken.

Sometimes I ask myself that same question but then I realize that people really think this game works as a Halo game and I will prove them wrong. Everything I posted so far is just small stuff. I have big projects coming showing loads of complications of the game breaking and people abusing things they shouldn’t.

I don’t care if they add cat ears or random product promotions or rainbow stickers or Wolfs howling at the moon, I don’t give a crap what they put in the cosmetic store lol. I simply don’t buy cosmetics for any reason, in any game, ever. There are some colors and emblems in the store right now I actually think look cool, but I am not fueling this market scheme, especially when you can only see your spartan in VERY specific situations, so what is the point of buying cosmetics from the store besides showing off your wallet to strangers? Before in previous Halos, there was a reason to wear that difficult to unlock armor or skin, now when I see a twinked out player, covered in cosmetics or dragging flower peddles everywhere, I instantly think “that player didn’t work towards anything at all to unlock that.”

I would have rather “earned” these cosmetics through a true rank progression system whether it be the items themselves or earned premium currency, but that will probably never happen in Infinite’s MP.

The issue I have with all of this, is all of this store stuff is in perfect working order, with weeks and months of Cosmetic releases already planned and waiting to be updated… but the desync issues, the spawn points, the lack of playlists and other game modes, this is all lacking RIGHT NOW because they were more concerned with planning and selling Cosmetics in the store, and THAT is why I have a problem with the Store.

I’m aware, but to say the game used to be “manly” as your main argument is inherently flawed. It never was, and as technology advances, we see more and more of that barrier being pushed. Whether it be armor effects, color combinations, emblems, permutation, you name it.

The game has been a canvas for all since its inception. Which is a good thing.

I agree with every point you made. I most definitely woullove more earnable armour in fact I wouldn’t even care if it’s a wold howling in the moon. If I had to do some super difficult task to get it would mean a whole lot more than buying it.

I also think your spartan should be showed in more ways because right now seeing your spartan is rare. Like you say only strangers get to see it.

Overall I don’t want to fuel this either and I haven’t but as each update comes I’m more inclined not to spend rather than spend if I ever were to buy a skin

I used it more of a broad statement for it being a more mature game that I only seen adults play. It’s not to say that only a man can play it or that it was overtly “manly” but in my opinion it had a bit more grit to the older Halos.
