Halo used to be a man's game

Porrage out here swinging with the facts lol

Not at all.

You’re digging into the words and the history behind them and not the sentiment/meaning of the post. It’s a saying. I can say “God of war” is a man’s game because of how many brutal executions are in it. I can say Halo is a “man’s game” because it has guns, war armor and vehicles in it. I can say taking a laxative after eating taco bell and white castle is a mans game.
None of that should be looked at as an attack on women.

Isn’t almost every human extinct because of a war with aliens? I’d say that’s a pretty gritty universe. If there’s comic relief throughout 7 depressing games, I would not say that would make it not gritty.

Calling something feminine to make someone out as a misogynist when they’ve already explained their position through other posts is BM. He said it ruins the immersion, you said no you hate it cause you hate women.
He said no.
You said yes.

EDIT: I took way less time than you did for that response lmao BUT THIS AINT ABOUT WPM SON

Nah, I don’t take bets that easy, no thrill to it.

Yeah because you didn’t actually engage with what I said.

No no no. Don’t try to weasel your way out of your own words. I’m not talking about what he said and what I said. I’m talking about what you said. You said that calling traditionally feminine things “girly” (a synonym for feminine), makes me a sexist. So if I’m a sexist because I said that “flowers” are girly/feminine, then by extension someone that says doll houses are feminine must also be sexist, correct?

I’m already sexist by your definition. I’ll just go ahead and grant you that on a silver platter. My question to you, and I want you to answer this (if you say no I want an explanation), if I’m a sexist by your definition, is the person who wrote the following quote also sexist:

No, I’m saying flowers are universally enjoyed by both sexes, not just females

That is NOT what you said. You said:

You said that because I think that flowers are “girly” or traditionally feminine, then I’m a sexist. I’m not asking you whether or not flowers can be enjoyed by everyone.

Let me bring up the quote one more time:

Try one more time. You stand by your statement of calling me sexist, right? Based on the standard you put out there for me being a sexist, isn’t this person also sexist?

Doll houses and things of the like seems like something for a girl.
Flowers are pretty ambiguous.

Anyone can play with a dollhouse but he specifically said
‘imagine an all feminine game where it’s all about dollhouses and the like’
Seems like he’s making an ALLUSION to say, a barbie game for instance, adding AK47s and Humvees to the ingame shop.
Context matters and you’re leaving it out intentionally. Or you’re attacking someone for not articulating themselves to a T even though their sentiment and point is understood.
Eitherway, you’re wiln’.

I don’t know if you live in America, but flowers are absolutely not an ambiguous thing. Dudes get flowers on only one day and it’s the day they’re put into the ground.

Seems like he’s making an ALLUSION to say, a barbie game for instance, adding AK47s and Humvees to the ingame shop.
Context matters and you’re leaving it out intentionally.

Nope, that additional context has nothing to do with him calling dollhouses feminine. In fact if you want, I’ll go ahead and re-add that context to all of my posts and it literally won’t change anything.

Well I guess by your own definition, you’re a sexist too.

Not like there was any doubt. He’s playing Devil’s Advocate on a Volt thread.

intentionally leaving this bit out huh

Yeah you got me. I intentionally left out “eitherway, you’re wiln’” because it absolutely crushed my argument.

I genuinely don’t know what context I could’ve possibly left out that would’ve made your stance any less stupid.

Okay mods, where are you at? I think the vast majority of us would be fine with this thread being locked at this point.

no, the part where anyone can play with a dollhouse and it being an allusion. Like we all understand what he was trying to say.
You’re saying no, this is your quote.
And there are mods here?

Agreed this thread lasted for too long

That doesn’t make you look any better, my guy.

I seem to remember the initial topic thread being hidden because of community reports. But I guess the thread got the green light after all. Which was a mistake.

This isn’t about looking better, this is about understanding a viewpoint different from yours and your aggressive reaction to it.

Tell me you’re insecure without telling me you’re insecure.

I understand the viewpoint perfectly fine, hence my aggressive reaction throughout the past hour or so.

False, being offended at non-inclusive social ideas and holding people accountable for what they say and do is a social responsibility, not a choice.

It is hard to imagine such a discussion.
Everyone is an individual and has the right to choose goods.
Military theory was part of the basic education I received. All effective forces are critical. This is not a matter of gender, but of spiritual preference.
Just follow your heart and choose what you like.
It’s ok as long as it’s legal and ethical.
