Halo used to be a man's game

I’m aware, but to say the game used to be “manly” as your main argument is inherently flawed. It never was, and as technology advances, we see more and more of that barrier being pushed. Whether it be armor effects, color combinations, emblems, permutation, you name it.

The game has been a canvas for all since its inception. Which is a good thing.

I agree with every point you made. I most definitely woullove more earnable armour in fact I wouldn’t even care if it’s a wold howling in the moon. If I had to do some super difficult task to get it would mean a whole lot more than buying it.

I also think your spartan should be showed in more ways because right now seeing your spartan is rare. Like you say only strangers get to see it.

Overall I don’t want to fuel this either and I haven’t but as each update comes I’m more inclined not to spend rather than spend if I ever were to buy a skin

I used it more of a broad statement for it being a more mature game that I only seen adults play. It’s not to say that only a man can play it or that it was overtly “manly” but in my opinion it had a bit more grit to the older Halos.

Using a misogynistic title as a “Broad statement” is only going to attract trolls and people flaming you for it, not anyone willing to take you seriously.

Food for thought, maybe try something a little less triggering for your larger project you have planned.

I knew there was going to be a store in Infinite, but I didn’t expect 80% of the unlockable content to be hidden inside the store. I expected some minor commendation rewards, possibly some true rank rewards… I guess I was a complete idiot for expecting core game mechanics to be in Infinite that have been present in nearly every Halo since Halo 2.

I think a quick fix for the store would be to give players a chance to earn premium currency some way.

In my days the term misogynistic didn’t exsist. It’s actually part of why I used the title because I don’t like the PC culture. Some people understood it was a joke
Some people don’t. Maybe I should’ve used a different title. Either way I have valid frustrations. You have to admit that this Halo is vastly different from all the other. Free to play. It’s on PC. New affects. New types of skins. New weapons. One can argue that there barely any Halo in it aside from the campagin and the plfact that players have the shape of a Spartan.

I agree
I just want basics at the very least.

Let me choose my colors. Give me at least one or two earnable items. Just something man.

The word misogyny always existed. What are you talking about?

As a girl gamer I have to say that Halo was always a woman’s game.

Master Chief was born with XX Chromosomes, she just uses a male voice modulator (like all popular musicians do these days)

Obviously it exsisted. Since this is your reaction it would be hard to explain to you what it was like back then. No one had those types of words in their vobaulary like they do now. There is reason why people say that today’s gaming culture could handle mw2 lobbies. It’s because a simple opinion can be labeled mysonginistc.

Imagine a all feminine game where it’s all about doll houses and things of the like. And then one day they started adding army men dlc to the game. Some could argue. “Who cares?” But someone could also feel like their game is straight to far away from what they were used to.

I’ve said it above that I have no problem with those things or feminine things in general. I just feel that there is a fine line on what should be in a Halo game.

Almost every Halo is vastly different from the one before hand. I often joke that “combat just evolved.”

That being said, I’m pushing 36, I imagine we’re probably not too far off in age. I remember when a lot more things were just accepted for what they were. But that didn’t make it rightfully so. Jokes aside, you’re mocking and belittling the equality advancements of an entire community. Intentional or not; that’s just not cool.

I would say that’s more of a biological thing rather then a feminine and masculine thing because master chief could be feminine or masculine. My argument is more about the atmosphere of the game and how one would veiw it when comparing the older Halo games.

A simple opinion can be misogynistic. That’s always been the case. And if a more “feminine” game added optional “manly” why would I care? It’s optional. And you seem to have a problem with feminine things. And you seem to want Halo to be exclusionary. No one else seems to want that. You’re the odd person out here.

I’m someone who shares your general PC stance, but my guy this is why nobody takes your points seriously. You flip-flopped on your hardline stance in 10 minutes!

It was a word that hasn’t changed in definition since the 17th century, it existed in full capacity in 2001.

Well maybe that’s just a ripple effect that reach started and it’s waves have hit all the Halo games after that.

I’m not saying things that are bad should be accepted. Like cursing for example
Someone one not not like that and growing as a society to be more polite is a good thing. However I do feel like there had been a cultural shift to have a knee jerk reaction when someone mentions something about being a man. I think having a masculine atospehre is not always a bad thing. It can exsist. And it can be the dominant theme. That is a different conversation tho. My main gripe is that it’s starting to look a lot less like Halo with every update and not in the other direction where it would look like more Halo

Collectively, we need to stop responding to his posts. He obviously gets some sort of satisfaction out of this. He’s a troll.

You’re probably right. I’m out of this one.

Hear that fellas? Halo is a man’s game. No girls allowed.

My point is if I explained my reason behind the video further why call it mysongitc? Am I being against anyone in any way or have I already conceded and said that “we shall wait and see”? If they started adding ridable unicorns in multiplayer would that still be ok?
This is what I mean. There is a fine line.

Reminds of the signs on the bedroom doors when all the boys at the sleepover would shut out the girls and vise versa lol.
