Who do you think would win? (UNSC vs Colonial Marines)(Alien vs the Flood) (Forerunners vs Space Jockeys)? Lets all respect the ALIEN franchise, seeing it really inspired Halo.

There’s no contest to me in my interest, because Halo has the benefit of being much more thoroughly explored than ‘Alien’.
All things being equal, however, I just found the Xenomorphs powerful yet uninteresting villains (I’m sure you could insert a joke about the Flood in gameplay here.)
UNSC v CM = UNSC… Not bashing on the CM’s but the UNSC seems to have a bit more knowledge and organization.
Aliens v Flood = Tough call but I would have to go with aliens. Although they are blind, they are stupidly fast and strong. Not saying the flood isnt. But If you have one alien in a room of CM’s he is going to win. Wheras One flood combat unit in a room full of UNSC may not go as well.
Forerunner’s v SJ’s = Hands down the Forerunners cause of their technological power.
All in All both franchises are amazing, but The Halo Universe is much more flushed out.
Hand to hand combat between an Elite and a Predator. I’d pay to see that.
I’m not sure how a battle between the Flood and a Xenomorph would work out. Xenomorph blood is highly acidic so it would destroy any Flood Infection Form attempting to infect it. Unless Flood Spores got into a Xenomorph’s lungs, I feel that Xenomorphs would own the Flood, maybe even impregnate them.
Colonial Marines vs UNSC Marines is a even match.
I think the Xenomorph’s acidic blood tips the scale in their favor, the Flood have no real defense against it.
Well, the Forerunners superior technology would no doubt obliterate the Aliens, more so than the Flood because the flood is MUCH more parasitic.
Even the Covenant could probably take them on. But only due to their technology, they may have a struggle without.
The plasma would tear right through them.
The only slight chance the Aliens factions have against the UNSC/Covenant comes from predators with war gear, which is pretty damn good.
Don’t include Forerunners, way out of the Alien’s league…
The Xenomorphs are essentially a less dangerous Flood, and containing them is not too hard, also they don’t shoot back. Or fly starships.

Good point. Plasma would waste the Xenomorphs will much less threat of collateral damage due to the cauterization. Assuming that the aliens are anything like normal animals they’d be dead from shock pretty quickly if you got a few good shots off.
It depends on if the flood can infect the aliens and if the covenant were to attack it would depend where it would happen.

first of all i’d like to say that: the yautja have nothing to do with the xenomorph and everything that hints otherwise should be destroyed. IMHO those -Yoink- movies dealt much more damage than they did good for both franchises (even Predators was better than both AvP movies combined).
second, more on topic: the xenomorph and the flood are both parasites, but we don’t know much more about either of them. how does a flood infection work? how and where does a facehugger implant a xenomorph larva and how does the larva evolve, depending on the host’s genom?
judging from the physical constitution of the “combat forms” i’d say the flood has no chance. however: the flood is capable of using very, very sophisticated tools - flying aircraft and starships, for example - whereas the xenomorph is a much more primitive species…
so, as long as there’s no hi-tech involved, my best guess is that the xenomorph kicks the Flood’s -Yoink-, but if the Flood leaves it’s feral stage and gains the option to nuke from orbit, my money’s on the flood.

While a runner or a full-sized Warrior is likely infection-proof thanks to hydrofluoric acid for blood and a silicate skin, the rather-weak eggs and facehugger stage does give the Flood a bit of a chance. I’m thinking if a Flood infection form managed to break open an egg and mess round in there, the result would be truly nasty.
As for chestbursters, I think the Flood may have an advantage. While they could be impregnated, the Flood would easily be able to liquefy the stomach and infect the embryo inside, turning it into a very fast, very intelligent combat form. Not something you want to mess with.
It could really go either way, at the end they would probably need to fire off the halo array to stop the xenomorphs…

You are overestimating Alien… they are nowhere close to ancient Flood scale.

concerning the if xenomorphs can be infected by flood its a yes the way the flood infection is occurs is the the flood infection or particle (the orange flakes) attach to the host body then forge link with the host nervous system which exists in all evolved mammals I couldn’t get any information as to whether aliens have CNS but logic would say they do unless they have space magic controlling their legs then they copy & paste the relevant data from there mind then take the body and from descriptions found on the web aliens have the immunity to their acid blood like the human stomach does which would cover the CNS & due to the flood being in large packs they would overwhelm the xenomorph and find its CNS through trial & error for the colonial marines thing no offence to CM they look awesome halo marines have built in motion trackers so they can stay on the job and the unsc marine corp trains marines in guerilla warfare which is the most effective way to fight an enemy though I dont know a whole lot about CM fighting style from what I’ve seen their more gun ho yell ur position out to the enemy and the body armour is very poor for combat its less flexible more heavy and does terrible against plasma or high energy beams (spartan laser for example) so the corp would take this one out and last but not least the forerunner vs space jockeys one I have no idea what space jockeys are so cant answer.

The Flood can infect virtually anything, and it takes like one mutation and bam they are resistant to the acid blood of the aliens.

I don’t know how hot plasma is compared to molten metal, but we have seen Xenomorphs survive molten metal dumped on them.
