Hey everyone! I made this post where we can discuss the 2nd episode of the TV series. The episode premiered at 12am PST/3am EST. Enjoy and let’s discuss!
The elite in this episode of TV series look cute without that stupid helmet.
I prefer the elite to wear helmets with sharp edges, a bit like shark dorsal fins.
Did not really like this episode. I still don’t understand why they are going so far away from the main universe.
More like a shark Man
It’s kind of funny, but it’s not like Elite. Like the villains in Cat and Mouse, Elite gives me a lot of pressure when playing old Halo .
Did anyone think the logo on the door into the underworld place looked like the gears of war logo?
I think of the Shelter of the Fallout series.
I am confused about these prophets. Is Mercy in charge? Are the other two not Truth and Regret? Is it a silver timeline change where Mercy has taken the lead?
The probability is like this. The prophet in the center is dominant.Apart from the names of the characters and some props, I can’t see anything associated with games and novels. character, experience and even appearance are different from those in the game.
Too much rushing of plot points while not spending proper time building a good narrative. I’m fine with divergences from canon as long as its meant to make a more compelling narrative.
Chief leaving and coming back being the first 2 episodes is a weird plot point. He’s not built up enough as a hero in the context of the story to really justify how volatile his loyalty already is.
The other Spartans feel more Spartan than he is. He feels more like emotionless robocop, while Silver Team feels like the military professionals we see throughout the series. The spartans have emotions, thoughts, and feelings.
I really don’t like how random crazy guy (who has a name referencing a jackal for some reason) just spoiled the plot of halo CE, and arguably that of H2. Now when we get to the ring Chief knows it needs to be destroyed immediately. No mystery or discovery, just shoot it with everything the moment we see it. And apparently the covenant told him this too? What? Why?
UNSC is just comically evil in this show. Also why did Soren have a drone that let Kwon spy on Vincher while he’s executing people from multiple systems away?
Why was this the script they approved after so many were apparently made? I can only imagine Microsoft stopped caring and just wanted to get the project going.
EDIT: Extra random quibble. It continues to bug me that 343 uses Master Chief like its his super hero name. He is John-117, or Sierra-117 or THE Master Chief. Its a rank, not a name.
Yesterday’s silver debrief specifies the prophets are Truth, Mercy and Regret even the the show has not yet (that I can tell). So that clears up my first question. And, knowing that, I assume Mercy takes the lead with matters around Makee because she’s his pet project.
Bring on ep3.
I turned it off when they parked a forklift in front of Chief.
Even if he wasn’t ungodly strong, he could have walked around it.
WHO actually thought that was an interesting scene?
That was painfully insulting to the audience’s intelligence
