Honestly. Everything about the show is wrong. Storyline is bad, many of the main characters are wrong. What happened to Cortana? And when did Dr. Halsey go from being an old woman to a young, moderately attractive blonde? Chiefs voice needs to be more gruff…
Also not sure if its episode 1 or not but chief is talking to an Asian chick and makes a joke about eating nuts and bolts and its just so cringe I almost vomited on the spot.
I will add a positive or two here just so its not me completely ripping this show a new one. I like the way the elites look, CGI is alright. Thats about it. I dont care whether its cancelled or not.
Im going to do what I do with the new star wars trilogy. Sit back and pretend this show doesnt exist. The only thing that exists are the games and the novels.

It’s silly because why would a human actively help the Covenant in genociding their own people? And also it kind of feels stupid just from the vibe of it. We’ll have to wait and see, maybe it does work out in the end.
By plot twist I meant Chief betraying the UNSC. It’s no surprise that he doesn’t kill a child, but to see him disobeying command in the first episode feels like it undercuts his character. This should have been a more powerful moment, if we would jave known Chief before this happened. People who aren’t familiar with him wouldn’t understand that this is significant. And also, I think they took it too far making the UNSC the bad guys. Game/book UNSC would throw the girl into the Midnight facility or something (which is bad enough)
So after watching the trailers I could tell it wasn’t what I wanted, especially with the alternate timeline.
I expected that the drama and story would be cringey, but the action would be cool. I didn’t expect the action to be so b-movie sci-fi channel… it was so terrible. It didn’t even hold up to Halo Landfall, which is now like 15 years old.
The decision to be non-canon was a poorly made one, I expected the canon and characters to bother me by being so counter to the games, but I never expected the sheer level of laziness and lack of respect or even understanding of the canon. The fact that they had these 500 year old cars and guns on this colony, which surely means they were brought there on a faster than light colony ship? Ridiculous. The fact that they couldn’t even get down very simple basics like the sound and fire rate of the DMR? Laughable.

It’s a total mix whatever you know about Halo. It was a huge failure to me. They messed up every main character we know. They changed Captain Keyes to a cold blooded military man. Miranda became a scientist who actually over watch Dr. Halsey. Halsey kinda OK, she has her own agenda no matter what UNCS what from her or her SPARTANs or other crazy stuff. And Chief… they turned the SPARTAN into a mindless killing machine, a feared UNCS super soldiers. And the woman in the Covenant ranks… Plus the alien object which will be a Forerunner artifact is a total plot device.
Also, Chief take off his helmet at the end of the episode! They just can’t stick true to a lore characters, like the creators of the 1995 Dredd movie.
Also, I had a feeling with he first trailer which all become true.
