Halo ttk

Hey all i am new to the halo series I bought halo 5 while i was playing the trial version and had lots of fun plus cant go wrong with half off.
My question is time to kill in halo. I played a lot of destiny, got black ops 3, overwatch. Sometimes it seams i blast the living heck out of someone and dont kill them maybe i am missing more then i think, now should i keep aiming for the head? go for bodyshots? I am assuming different guns have a variety of ttk.

Your journey starts with but a single video in a series of many more

See you in Warzone!

This thread is like medicine for all the people claiming that Halo 5’s TTK is too low.

Halo’s TTK has always been longer than most games, around 1-3 seconds. Ideally you should always aim for the head when using precision weapons, and body shots when using automatics.

You should 100% be aiming for the head with precision weapons… or the semi-automatics (burst for BR) if you are confused by the lingo. I would disagree with TeeJay in that you should be aiming for the body with automatics. There is a head-shot multiplier for automatics so it is definitely worth aiming for the head with automatics as well…although if you know someone’s shields are down, spray and pray works great.

Get to know each weapons uses and flaws, they all have their own niche. Equipping yourself is a big part of Halo 5, try to find a better precision and automatic on the map to replace your magnum and AR and you will already be set up better for success.

Start off with body shots first on precision weapons, you do the same amount of damage anyways if you was hitting the head, go for the chest as its a bigger target, once the shields pop then go for the head. That’s just how I do it tho, in reality you do what you feel more comfortable with, go all out on the head, start off with body shots then the head, or you could corner camp and melee people as they walk by and then pop them. There’s really a lot of strats and ways to use guns. I’d stick to getting good with the pistol since it’ll more than likely be your most used weapon anyways.

thanks all! ill try to put advice to good use!
