Halo - The Television Series.

I think that Halo 5 was a great game, though the cliffhanger ending was a disappointment, but that is my only gripe with it.
What I want to know is, if the Halo TV series still gonna be a thing, or has it been cancelled?
With how Halo 5 changed things, not just for Humanity, but the former Covenant races, and maybe even the Galaxy as a whole, it would be painful to wait 3 years for the next game without any idea of what’s gonna happen.
I think the TV show, if it’s gonna be implemented, would be a cool way to continue the story outside of Comics and books that not everyone reads.
What do ya think?

Honestly at this point with the (assumed) rewrites in halo 5 and zero exposure on anything halo TV. I wouldn’t be surprised if its still in the scripting phase. I would be very surprised at this point if Steven Spielberg actually has a creative hand in it… he’s working on 14 titles going into 2018 with no mention publicly of halo 5 in his blog. His focus seems to be on Indiana Jones.

I hope its still I play. I want a Halo TV show at like Spartacus level of awesome. Please still be real!

I can see there being a chance it may eventually be cancelled

I don’t see it coming in the near future, maybe never. Well I don’t mind too much, I don’t need halo necessarily on TV. If it looks as cheap as nightfall and fud, I could gladly skip it.

This.

Microsoft is just cheaping out too much on the current Halo to screen transfers to make me excited about upcoming ones. I want to see it happen, but I want it done right.

Give Peter Jackson or Guillermo del Toro a blank check and tell them to get it done.

I’d also be fine with Blur doing a CGI series or movie(s).

#HUNTtheTRUTH Season 3 would be a good idea for a TV show, me thinks.

There were no rewrites. In the pre-production part of The Art of Halo 5: Guardians, they have concept art of the climax.

Yes ! CGI fits a lot better in halo than real actors, since halo orinigated out of a game and not a movie. cgi movie, that would be truly amazing. I know how expensive this cgi stuff is, but if they can make almost an hour Spops sequences they can also make a film.

If there was a TV series, perhaps they would choose the pre-human vs covenant war era, during the conflict between the Insurrection and the UNSC. At least that way they wouldn’t have to worry about the cost of CGI Aliens.

still waiting for spartan ops season 2

Even though Stephen might have some say, in the end he has to listen to the plan 343 has in mind.

I’d say the television series should be set in the current era where the main cast reference and relate to events happening within the Post War and the Reclaimer Saga, much like how Agents of SHIELD reference and relate to the MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

Already happened. Halo: Escalation, the comic book series, fills in the gap between Spartan Ops and Halo 5 … which is really stupid. Why would they set up such a huge storyline and then finish it in something only hardcore fans will read or even know about?

id definatly watch a blur series explayning or expanding the story after halo 5 to help people who dont read the books
