Halo: The Other Guys Collection

Even before the release of The Master Chief Collection, 343 had said that they’d discuss porting over Reach and ODST to the Xbox One. Personally, I would love to see this happen as I thought ODST was an incredible game and I still play Reach for it’s diversity (and mainly cause I’m making a Reach Machinima).

My main point of this thread however is not to persuade 343i into making this port happen; I merely wanted to see who else would like to see it happen as well. Perhaps if 343 does decide to go through with it, it could be DLC for MCC or a separate disk (that isn’t worth full price).

What do you all think? Would you like to see Reach, ODST, and possibly Halo: Wars be ported over the Xbox One to give next-gen players the full Halo experience?

Let the conversation begin!

Not really. They could be using the time and resources to work on other projects. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and now The Master Chief Collection, I think is enough for rereleases.

It would be great

I think they have plenty of teams to split up for a month or two to make a port. I understand your view of the “too many rereleases” but I honestly believe 343 could do it very easily if they wanted to.

I would. Personally, I enjoyed ODST and Reach more than Halo 1-4.

Not that I didn’t like 1-4, but there was something ODST and Reach that I liked better.

Agreed, but Halo 3 will always be my favorite :3

I would love to see ODST and Reach on the Xbox One, but i can’t see it happen anything time soon. I think it would almost impossible for ODST and Reach to be released as DLC for the Master Chief Collection because of the User Interfaced that shared between the four Halo games. Im just hoping that when its Halo 3 Anniversary in 2017, that ODST get the anniversary treatment as well because i don’t want to wait until 2019 for an Anniversary edition of “expansion”.

Hey guys, look this fake page -----------------> http://halo3anniversary.com/ LOL

You definitely bring up some good points. Maybe it could be DLC if it’s through an extension of the main menu? And I hadn’t thought about having Halo 3 Anniversary paired with ODST, that’d make for an interesting concept.

I would love to see them on XB1. I wouldn’t commit a ton of resources, but I would like to see every Halo experience on XB1. Maybe a straight port of all 3 games with new achievements released online or bundled for $20-$30

343 outsources the majority of the work on those projects to other companies (ie Saber). The main team at 343 is hard at work on Halo 5, and then probably 6 afterwards.
