Halo The Master Chief Collection Complaints

First off 343 Industries, The Master Chief Collection is only reason I purchased an Xbox One this year. If it wasn’t for this collection, than I would have waited until next year to buy my console.

I’m going to point out some of the problems that I’m having with the collection. I’m sure others have posted their experiences but now it’s time to share my mine.

Issues with Halo 2 Anniversary:

(1). On screen textures/AI’s fade in and out in re-mastered graphics (classic mode doesn’t have this problem). It’s a little annoying when one minute an Elite or Brute isn’t there and then one minute there is and vice versa (again classic mode doesn’t do this).

(2). Achievements don’t always work. I have played and completed all missions with the exception of “The Great Journey” (more on that in a minute) yet none of the mission specific achievements are earned.

(3). The last mission (The Great Journey) freezes at the exact same point (during the end cut scene) thus preventing me from completing Halo 2’s campaign.

Issues with ALL Halo games in the collection:

(1). The save and quit feature doesn’t work. It’s nice to save and quit a game to come back later right? Not with this collection as the feature doesn’t work!

(2). Matchmaking is still very slow. Although playlists have been reduced to help speed things up, it still takes about 5-10 minutes to find a match (2-4 minutes on my Xbox 360 Halo 3 copy).

Issues with Halo CE Anniversary:

(1). There is no original controller setup. I understand the universal controller layout and I agree with making one; however I still prefer to play with classic controls. Why is it that Halo 2 has a classic controller setup (X button to reload and swap weapons) but in Halo CE I’m forced to use the Right Bumper? This is half -Yoinked!-.

(2). There is no classic music or sound effects. Why is it that Halo 2 got both re-mastered and classic sound effects and music but Halo CE didn’t? I understand that Halo 2 is considered the core of the collection but the original Halo still deserves the same treatment as it was the game that started it all.

I really hate to say this but this game needs an update. It’s broken and I think fans (especially the ones who have been with the franchise since the beginning) should be treated better than this. You gave us a broken game for $60 343 Industries! Many of us pre-ordered this collection so we can replay all the games we love on our Xbox One consoles in 1080p HD 60fps and all new multiplayer and I think it’s wrong to make fans play a broken game.

To make things up to YOUR fans, I think you should read this post and do the following:

(1). FIX THE GAME! Do an update that will fix all the issues described above.

(2). Since most of us pre-ordered your game and many of us (I know I’m not the only one) purchased an Xbox One just for this game; it is only fair that you give us an exclusive armor set for use in Halo 5: Guardians when the game releases for our troubles with this collection.

Sincerely, longtime Halo fan
