So here I am playing the anniversary of Halo Combat Evolved on Halo the Master Chief Collection. (On XBOX ONE)
When I die after a certain number of times I have to restart the whole mission, yes the whole level. This never used to happen on the original games.
I also can’t pick up the alien weapons or plasma grenades from the ground. Plus I saved the checkpoints, log out of the game, die a certain number of times after logging back in, then yeah, I’m back at the beginning.
Any tips anyone?

Played H1 on legendary completing about 3-4 maps before logging off for the night. Didn’t see any issues.
Whats your network configuration like?
Wired to the main host router?
What is the Mfr and model # of the main host router?
Whats the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem?
Be LAN cable connected to the main host router. Don’t use wireless if you can help it.

First of all thankyou for the help.
But how does the option to not use wireless appear? Because on my game it says I have to log into my email to play and that I can’t play if I’m not logged in.
I have a few more questions. Is wireless for multi player from a different location as well as the same location. And also, if I’m not connected and I died a lot of times, will I not lose the checkpoint?
If anyone knows a YouTube video explaining how I can get out of this situation please send the link below so I can thrash blast the Covenant outta Master Chief’s way and NOT LOSE the checkpoint data after I die a certain number of times… So I can keep moving forward in the game.
Much appreciated so I can smack the covenant in they’re faces. Also for swapping weapons because on this one I don’t have that ability (e.g. Like from a pistol to a needler etc). The first ever Halo games had that ability but if someone has a link explaining how I can change this in Master Chief Collection from YouTube also for this situation so I can play halo like how I used to on the original.

Connect the xbox console to the main host router using a LAN cable, this will disable the wireless connection.

You need to connect the networking LAN cable from the xbox to the man host router your using for internet access…
What is the brand and model # of the router and ISP modem you use for internet access?
The brand and model is BT internet. Is it a glitch that all checkpoints are removed after death then you restart the whole level or was that made in the video game on purpose?
I presume maybe an issue with your copy of MCC on the xbox.
Me and another buddy completed H1 campaign on legendary. We died numerous times and didn’t have to restart the mission, only restarted the check point if we hadn’t made it to the next one. Playing with two game consoles on same network. ISP Modem, host router and two consoles connected to router.
What is the model # of the BT internet modem?

It’s okay now everyone thanks for your help, completing the game currently and I’ve died a few times without losing my checkpoints.
(Something got to do with the skulls).

Playing Halo just like in the old times when it came out on the first XBox.
So much creativity and action. Master Chief, no one messes with him 
Hope its working well now. Yes, if your playing Legendary all non scoring skulls should be disabled if your trying to get map level achievements. I only use them when going after other achievements.
I’m currently now playing H2 on Heroic. Did 6 maps last nite. Should have the rest either tonite or this weekend.
