I don’t think any other helmet would have sufficed. They nailed it in that regards.

That would be nice but as long as I can have optional Mark 5 too since that’s just too iconic to leave behind.

In the animated series, which is the most up-to-date canonically, they were not wearing ODST armor and therefore have never worn it.

defiantly ODST, clearly shown in the comic. furthermore, SPI was only used by Spartan III’s, Spartan II’s, like the Chief, never used SPI
