Last night while playing some Arena slayer matches, I kept getting paired up with this person who continually would go for the BR, DMR, Sniper, Light Rifle… anything that would provide a decent amount of damage out put at long medium to long range… Unfortunately this concept was completely LOST on this person because EVERY single time… they would run right up the middle and die… Needless to say every time I found myself on this person’s team, we lost.
One time I even got my hands on a DMR and this person betrayed me… While that leads me to think that they were a troll… the more I thought about it, the more I came to realize that this was par for the course… people do this stupid crap ALL the time.
IF you find yourself with a long range weapon YOUR job is to provide over watch support for your teammates and suppress enemy long range targets. Get to higher ground and look for stuff to shoot.
So while your buddies go charging in… YOU need to stay back and make head shots to help assist your teammates to get kills, and to get kills yourself at a distance… and if someone goes down, FINISH the job and take out the bad guy. Because that is the goal of the game right? get kills… take out the bad guys… finish the objective… right?
That is all.
So you want people to have tactics and common sense. Interesting concept!
But seriously, I know what you mean. Any decent player should know when to run n gun, when to provide cover fire and overall what their role should be. This should happen with or without the use of a Mic.

It’s sad that many people, despite playing for a while, still haven’t grasped the concept yet. And it’s even more sad when you’re placed in a team with 'em. My condolences to all who have to put up with that crap.

Because for the most part people in match-made games aren’t about teamwork… they are there for themselves.

You should probably join a spartan company then, unless your company is incompetent, that should guarantee that you won’t be placed with crap.
