I’d love to see 343 give another board game company a shot at making a Halo wargame. I really enjoyed Halo: Ground Command and Halo: Fleet Battles, it’s just too bad the company went under. I would say if they plan on making another fleet game, try looking at games like Star Wars: Armada, and for a ground game could we get bigger models? Maybe to the scale of Warhammer or Star Wars: Legion?
Would anyone else be intersted? What would you like to see?
The reason these non Star Wars but similar games go under is that they don’t have the interest. BSG’s tabletop was by all accounts, decent. But it couldn’t hope to keep up with X-Wing.
Halo’s core appeal has nothing to do with miniatures or armies, fleets and space battles, for the average viewer. Which sucks because those parts are incredible.
I will never forget the time an ex friend (for different reasons) said, “Halo has space combat? I thought the whole thing was mostly ground based.”
Gods did I weep.
Hopefully they could take another stab at it. I’m thinking tabletop Halo Wars pretty much for ground combat. I do think one of the big problems was literally no advertising. I mean, I only found both games because I went to a convention and a stall had them for sale. They could advertise in Infinite and maybe even do some cross promotion with skins or something.
With the tv show going for a broader audience, perhaps there will be some more people who will be looking for a halo miniatures game. If we are lucky then it will be enough people that making another game (or maybe even reprinting) would be viable.
As someone who paints warhammer models, seeing some Halo models seems like it would be fun to paint, but Wargaming is a pretty niche market in regards to boardgames in general, that’d be a BIG risk.
I would love to see Halo Actionclix make a return. I have loads of the figures still but would love to get my hands on the Scarab although it is crazy expensive these days.
And when you’re competing with Star Wars and Warhammer and not in that order…

Ooo~ Could do. They’ve got some decent games under their belt. Personally I was thinking what about teams who already make this type of game? I mean they already have the rules and assets, just gotta make new models really.
I think it would be awesome if they were to start back up printing of fleet battles. The challenge is that now that it exists, and has some community, if they made an entirely new fleet battles type game, the community would be split between those who are buying into the new game and those who already invested in fleet battles.
I would spend so much money if they started putting out fleet battles again, and added new ships.
