I don’t like the direction the halo story is going. Sorry but forerunners are lame. Let’s fight the insurrection. The forerunner tech is just little to far out there to be believable…and is chief on acid now?

Maybe to you, but Forerunner society is actually quite interesting to me.

I can see that happening sometime in the future, considering that the Insurrection has been resurfacing in years following the Human-Covenant War. The only issue is that Cortana and her Created are currently causing a bit of a wall in terms of narrative. 343 needs to finish this story arc in the main games before beginning a new one.
I feel as if the gameplay would change significantly if we shift focus from fighting aliens to fighting humans.
What I mean is digitizing organic beings? Too far for me. And chief is having these hallucinations after he falls down a hole…I’m just saying…keep it sci-fi and not get into the mystic. And the forerunners I find interesting as well…but so boring to battle with.

Humanity has basically been doing that with AI creation. Not too far-fetched if you ask me.

He did basically the same thing in Halo 3, having hallucinations of Cortana throughout the campaign.

I think in halo 3 it was more for story dramatic effect for the player…in halo 5 it is a huge part of the story…they didn’t specify the difference if there was any in three. AI use a human template for personality? Someone donated a brain. But taking an entire organic being and making them digital? Maybe I don’t understand the domain…I have read all the books. The ones that focused on the forerunners were so boring I’m sure I missed something.
