halo story should be about the MC

Just finish Halo 5 and while I enjoyed the gameplay of the game the story (which is my sole reason for buying the game) got boring I only wanted to play as blue team and felt that we got no understanding of things from their point of view. I hated team Osiris and OMG I hope I will never have to play as them again they were wasted story time I didn’t for a second care about them well I liked buck he should have been the team leader. this could have been an epic story but team Osiris focus mission of catching the MC made it feel small the game became about getting the chief not saving the world while the chief was out to save the world once again we didn’t see any of what he was learning as he was learning it. we see him starting to try and figure things out then the next time we find him he has about 70% of what he need while us play was lost

even when we catch up to Cortana and she explains what little she explain I stuck feeling when did she go crazy y now I should be pissed at someone we all once loved when we had no reason to.none of the books cover what was missing and at best I can hope they will fix this on the halo channel with something like hunt the truth that will tell us how this whole thing came about and what happen on MC side of things as team Osiris was trying to track him down.
the lesson 343i should take from this no more games that has other point of view other than the chief save that for the books.

Personally, I think we should have had Locke’s story of tracking down the Chief (Cortana should have been kept longer for a reveal) and coming across the Warden and eventually rescuing Blue Team from the Cryptum; then Chief reveals about Cortana and we flashed back and played five or so missions from his perspective. Then we should have got a final mission involving both teams somehow.

I concur. It felt like i was playing a spin off game, they should have just released it as Halo: Guardians without the number and chief missions, then expanded upon the Chiefs comings and goings for a nunbered release.
