Halo still Crashes in splash screen, 2 years later

So it’s been two years. Still can’t even get to the menu of this game on a Fresh copy of windows 10 pro nothing else installed.
My build is
CPU :Q9650
RAM: 10 GB

GPU: GTX 660 2GB of VRAM.

why is this happening? I’ll include the crash logs. I click launch shows me the words Halo then just crashes. How do I fix this? tried deleting the halo app didn’t work. Tried resetting the appstore it did not work. What do I have to do to get into this game? My CPU supports sse 4.1 what am I missing?

Well, that’s strange. Do you get some message before it crashes or just the ‘halo’ word ? Because that word is like a repetition of the halo app loading screen, which is shown before the actually loading screen.
You satisfy the minimum requirments, but maybe Halo app thinks you do not ? Just guessing: I have a geforce 750 gtx, tons of ram etc etc, and every time I start the Halo 5 Forge I get the ‘your pc does not satisfy minimum requirment’ message.
Can’t understand much from the log, but do you have direct x 12 installed ?

I just get the words halo on a black screen as soon as i boot it up then 3 or 5 seconds later is just closes no error window. It just closes. my DX is up to date and this GPU is DX 12 compatible too. the log says illegal instructions though. so this leads me to believe the processor isn’t compatible despite supporting SSE 4,.1 might be a programming error on the developers side? loading unused extra libraries while they do nothing.

Notice that ‘illegal’, but can’t understan what actually it means.
I know maybe you have already tried this, but here it is the xbox support page: Xbox Support

Can’t think what could be, if your hardware is ok. Do you play some other game on this pc ?

Yeah I play other games. warframe and titan fall 2 currently. though on my CPU specs it says the Q9650 is SSE 4.1 compatible , and has 4 cores @ 3.00 Ghz and the support page says you mostly need a 4.1 compatible CPU. don’t know what instructions the game is talking about. Since mine supports it. Also i get no error code window when it shuts down. it just closes that’s it.

Anyone at 343i reading these? the problem has still been happening.

I also have this problem. This game and Halo Wars 2 for PC both are doing the same thing for me. I click to launch the game and it brings up the loading screen with “HALO” written on it, then 5 seconds later it crashes without an error message. On a new PC with Windows 10.

so turns out the intel core 2 duo xxxxx series and the intel core 2 duo xxxxx series are not compatible. despite having SSE 4.1. got a new processor + motherboard but had the same gpu i had on the past setup. and it worked.
