So recently Hiddenxperia released a video of halo spin offs after Halo Infinite, I thought i’d expand that idea by posting onto halo waypoint about some ideas.
Contact Harvest game where you play as none other than Sergeant Avery Johnson
Mona Lisa spin off
Arbiter spin off when they leave earth and go back to sanghelios to unite the planet
A Silent Shadow game where you play as a silent shadow hunting down Head Hunters (Or it could be the other way around where you could be a head hunter doing his mission but in the end dies by a silent shadow)
A spin off where you play as the other spartans defending reach
High charity is infested with flood and you as a marine get released from his cell with no idea of why
A spin of from Halo Bad blood and New Blood (Maybe…)
Feel free to put your own ideas for a spin off!
Note ill update this post frequently when i get new ideas either from you guys or myself!
I think a game focused on Jun would be kinda cool. How he went from escorting Dr. Halsey during Halo: Reach right up to where he begins recruiting candidates to be Spartan-IV’s.

> Well, if I had any say I’d want:
>
> * An ODST-style series of missions starring former detective Veta Lopis and the S-IIIs under her care (Ash, Mark, and Olivia).
> * A Blue Team experience
> * A Fireteam Osiris experience (yeah boo and hiss all you want I want to see these guys done justice)
I’m a fan of your list. I also want to see Osiris have their stories written properly. They each have some great backstory to them, but none of those stories were even mentioned in H5.
Take Buck for example. His story of being recruited by Jun could have cleared things up and made for a more compelling character all around. Instead, only lore/book fans know about it. Reading books is fun, but a mainline game shouldn’t have to rely on outside material like that.
I love the idea of spin off games with branching narratives that take place either before or simultaneously to the current story. Where characters introduced in mainline games have their own side story arc, further fleshing out the expanding universe.
With that in mind these are a few stories and game types that I’d like to see:
A Fireteam Osiris game where you further explore this new spartan team as they work to fight back against Cortana and her Created forces. This game could have call outs to Infinite’s story plot even some missions have direct ties to events in that game. While Osiris may not be as well liked as the Chief and Blueteam, I think, in their own game, they could develop into a great cast of characters and have some fun and exciting missions. Maybe expand on enhanced movement mechanics to make these spartan feel like the Spartan Locke armor trailer, and have new prototype weapons never seen before.
A tactical, ODST game where you and your team are charged with rooting out and eliminating Insurrectionist terror cells. Taking place before the Human-Covenant war, you are a new recruit into the legendary Helljumpers, tasked with taking out some high-level threat to the UNSC. Slower paced, and more tactical gameplay elements would be at the forefront, along with more weapon and armor customization. This would be ideal for co-op gameplay as well, where you and your squad would have to work together to take out targets.
A third-person RPG game. You play as a fully customizable top secret ONI operative charged with rooting out UNSC enemies. Your ship, a prototype stealth prowler allows you to traverse the edges of human-controlled space, gaining allies and squadmates, improving your gear and weapons, as well as your ship.
These are just a few ideas, all relatively possible given the timeline of the Halo Universe, and the extensive lore therein.
Without trying to be to much of a being a nah sayer , I think a lot these ideas could easily be achieved using the spartan ops dlc type formula , rather than a full spin off title . My reasoning is now the slipspace engine is supposed to be able to deliver quicker content drops more easily for the devs . So seasonal self contained stories may well be able to drop more regularly rather than the traditional 3 year dev cycle associated with a full game and all the other features that are expected with a new title ei mp,forge , ff, customisation, progression system ect ect

I think you are correct. Ideally, Infinite could be the first Halo game to really do campaign-based add on stories justice. H4 had SpOps but the missions lacked quality. HW2 has its own stories, but they more or less don’t push the story forward.

Certainly spartan ops would need to be built apron , but the basic framework was certainly sound .oh my am I suggesting a destiny style games as a service model with seasons tied to infinites progression system ? . I’m just going to wash my mouth out with soap and give myself a swift uppercut. Scratch everything I said , stand alone games now sound more appealing again .
I watched his video and agree with everything he had listed.
I would expand on the Headhunter game idea he had and make it a shooter like Destiny. (I know I’ll get hate for that)
But just imagine for 2 seconds, your Spartan III is a headhunter, you have the colonies, the targets, the open shared world(s), and small teams. I think that sounds amazing and plus the backstory to headhunters is something I really wanna see in a game.
Spin offs would be nice. However 343 can’t seem to finish any plot lines it has done so far let alone additional spin off games. Look at Halo 4 Spartan Ops. It was only half of a story, I know they finished the plot in a comic but thats not something that should be done with main characters. Those story arcs with blue team and Halsey and the janis key could have been done in 3-4 campaign missions. Also Halo 5 ended but on the same scene started the novel Bad Blood which finished Osiris’s story arc. Even Halo wars 2 ended with Atriox and Cutter still fighting over the halo ring. 343 needs to do better with finishing a plot before they expand into other games.
Does anyone even know of a book were Osman took over from Parangosky? I would have liked to see Parangosky’s retirement party, she was a hardcore old bat. Osman just showed up in Spartan Ops with no transition from the books. If they get rid of Hood they better do it on camera in game.
Maybe a game where you play as Spartan B312 before he became Noble Six. It could follow him as he goes on black ops missions against insurrectionists and the Covenant.
