Halo: Spherite FanFiction

Years after the ceasefire of 2552, a UNSC Exploratory vessel stumbles across a planet.

They discover that the planet, dubbed Spherite, is inhabited by Humans, living together with Humanoid creatures called Chimera. Human looking creatures with distinct animal traits of all varying shapes and sizes.

They live on Spherite in a Medieval Era. Villages, Castles and Towns can be found all across the planet, their inhabitants using swords and shields to fight and defend themselves. Knights in heavy metal armor, tyrannical armies dressed in a similar fashion to Roman legions and everything else that one would think to find in an Era such as this.

On top of this discovery, Forerunner structures and ruins dot the landscape of the entire planet, engrained into the cultures of the people living there. With a few cities even living inside the ancient structures.

The UNSC sends a small Battle Group, outfitted for research and exploration. Nothing more than curiosity and fascination driving them. However planned missions to research this fascinating planet, its people and their culture aren’t given the chance to even begin.

Hours after the vessels arrive in system, the Covenant Remnant, who have gotten wind of this monumental discovery, attack the UNSC ships. After a long drawn out fight with a Reverence Class Cruiser and other Covenant ships, the UNSC manage to win the battle. But the fight has taken a heafty tole on the exploratory ships.

With two Frigates destroyed, and a Carrier having taken a devastating hit to its engines. The UNSC is forced to delay its exploration of Spherite and pull back for repairs and refit. To stay would risk being destroyed if the Remnant attack again.

During the battle, 2 UNSC escape pods and a damaged Albatross are detected entering the atmosphere of Spherite.

The Carrier needs to transition to Slip Space now, or they’ll be walking home. Refusing to leave the survivors to fend for themselves, the Carrier deploys a Spartan to the surface of Spherite to gather the survivors and ensure their safety until a larger Battle Group can return.

Halo: Spherite, is the story of those survivors and their adventures.

Im basicly looking for more readers, reviews and general thoughts on the story.

I’ve been working on it for 3 years now, but its only just hitting its stride.

A deployment to Afghanistan and 3 surgeries on my shoulder have set me back a bit.

But I want people to love this story as much as i love writing it.

And for you romantics out there, there’s more than a bit of that in this story

Hopefully i caught your attention and you’re interested. It can be found here; https://m.fanfiction.net/s/6856264/1/Halo-Spherite

It’s a good story. Eventhough it’s unfinished, it ended on a good note.

Reminds me of my fan fic, however mine is not gonna be a part of Halo canon since it’s a “what if” story behind Arcadia’s fall in 2549.

The UNSC came in contact with a covenant destroyer that seemed to be headed towards the rogue colony of Arcadia. Upon battle they discover that the Covenant have sent a fleet to the planet for unknown excavation of recently discovered Forerunner catacombs containing information on other artefacts elsewhere.

The UNSC decides to return to a planet they no longer own not for conquest, but to protect their fellow human especially when the human species is dawning on extinction. Along with over 200 Spartan III’s, two Spartans II’s were deployed on the ground.

These two are Spartans 412 and 405, together they are Mythos Team: Two Spartans that were not accounted for of the 33 successful Spartan II subjects, ONI officers hearing that there were 35 Spartans total thought it was a myth hence why their fireteam name.

However their opponents are ones whom the UNSC have feared and lost millions two: Thel Vadame, the one who leads his fleet towards the enemy is in charge of glassing the surface, and Field Marshal Azukin is in charge of the entire operation on the ground. Azukin has again 2.5 million humans with his campaigns, and has killed 6 Spartans in 1v1 sword duels that he sets up whenever encountering the super humans.

Their primary point of battle is on Daretheus Island, a big island out in the ocean, there a week long campaign will begin to try and defeat the ground forces as UNSC fleets above attack Thel’s fleet in the atmosphere.

Every chapter the story will switch between human and covenant pov to give an idea of how both sides felt and acted about this brutal battle. Finishing and possibly releasing the first ten chapters this week, and the entire story might be fully written by July •~•
