Halo Spartan Assault 360 version - Could I still play it?

Hello guys.

I hope I have chosen the right section of the forum. Anyway, here’s my question:

I enjoy completing all Halo games and would miss the Xbox 360 version of Halo Spartan Assault (it is important that it is the 360 version, no Xbox ONE version, no pc version, no phone version).

Unfortunately, when the closure of the Halo servers released on Xbox 360 was announced, the game was removed from the store, and I, with my account, never bought it, and unfortunately, I hadn’t even downloaded it with the " games with gold "in June 2014.

I’m sure the game still works, and whoever bought it can still download it to their Xbox ONE fat / S / X (or X / S Series). Through the Xbox app, I was also able to download the game to my console but I can’t run it because I hadn’t purchased it.

I searched a lot online for digital keys to buy, but they are no longer available (only for the ONE version).

Afterwards, I had thought about using “account sharing”. Since a friend of mine owns the game, he set his console (with his account) as “home” and then he logged in with my account on his console. I thought that way, my friend (with my account) could log into the game but it didn’t work. Why?

In theory, that way (with my account) he should be able to play all games owned by his account. Did we do something wrong with the account sharing procedure?

Any other possible ideas / suggestions for using the game?

Thank you all.

Agh! That is frustrating. Licensing, especially when it comes to digital (non-disk) games, is complicated.

Here is the widely accepted answer to this problem:

Blockquote From the DRM page:

Why can’t my friend play the games I downloaded to his/her console?

The license for content you purchase is for a single account or a single console . After you purchase and download an Xbox Live game, anyone in your household may use it. You can install and play the game on other consoles. However, only the account that purchased the game can play it. A friend can’t play the game using his or her own account. To do so, your friend should purchase the game using his or her own Xbox Live account.

Sadly, content licenses cannot be transferred.
I feel for you, man. This wouldn’t be an obstacle if you had the physical disk on your hands, but I don’t think even that’s been a reality for Spartan Assault. The Xbox One, PC, or Mobile version might be your best bet.
Keep searching on it though. We’re lucky, considering the game is still functional and being sold at all!
