Okay so i decided to start this topic because i have been voiced banned for a week.

NOTE
I was banned because I have a kinect and sometimes forget to turn off it’s mic while I play.(Which i find stupid for getting banned for because I didn’t receive any type of warning about it). I would keep it off all the time, but i don’t have a microphone so i use it whenever i play with my friends (in a party).

Anyway, what I was getting at. Since I can’t necessarily communicate with my team I sometimes try to find ways to communicate to them with my spartan. Some examples would be : Continuous crouching, Shooting the Ground, or if I have a certain weapon, like the laser, I continuously semi-charge it up. I just find it important to communicate with my teammates because I’m one of those players who will give up my power weapon or ordinance drop if someone is better with it then myself or is just trying to do some damage.

So real question is, aside from the damage of the boat, which we will fix, do ya’ll have any suggestions of getting your teammates attention, without coming off as trying to piss them off or someone who doesn’t know how to play the game?

no ideas or thoughts?

get a mic.

This is what I call user error. You got banned for a reason. If I play a game and all I hear is muffle voices or constant humming because people forget to turn their headsets off or are completely obnoxious then you deserve to be banned.

not exactly trying to spend money on something that i pretty much already have

then what is the point of a mute option?

then do what i do. Everytime you turn on your xbox, create an Xbox Live Party chat room, even if no friends are on. That way they cant hear you.

> get a mic.

I take it you missed the part where he said he was banned from voice chat?

and the only reason i have ever heard someone complain about was the fact that they could hear my games audio through the mic. And all it takes is someone to just say, hey can you turn off your mic. It’s not like i do it on purpose because i myself hate when someone has obnoxious sound coming through.

ya that xbox live party thing sounds like a good idea. I just wish i was at least given a notice before it happened.

i didn’t miss the part. But its not a permanent ban

People will often tell you.
Also most if not all game son the 360 tell you your mic is hot.

It’s still your fault the warning comes from users.

its not like i play whole games with it on. ill notice it after a few minutes and turn it off.

however, i did recently come up with an idea to fix this issue but cant try it until i reach back at my apartment. I rarely play my kinect games so i was thinking about setting my kinect up on a chair next to the one i sit in as i play because the wire should be long enough. Do ya’ll think this could be a good solution?
