Halo Should have an Art Gallery

Ten-Hut!
Hey Marines, I got this great idea: Halo Should have an Art Gallery; a place where you can admire all the different 3d models used in the Game**.**
Like: Characters, Allies, Enemies, Weapons, Vehicles and Objects.

Why I this think this is a good idea:

  • It wouldn’t be much work considering that 343 already has all the 3d models on their computers. - It would give players a chance to see all the work that goes into designing theses 3d models. - People subconsciously appreciate little things like Art Galleries, improving the positive reception of the game. This idea can be implemented really any where whether in Halo 6 or Halo 5 or Halo Wars 2… or even the Master Chief Collection.
Anyways, what do you think of this idea Marines?

You could also have community creations on there, such as art works and such. It doesn’t have to be limited to 3D models.

I like this idea. Combine this with a codex and it’ll be great.

Halo CEA had this. With the Kinect you could scan certain objects. In the main menu you can go to a library option and observe the 3D models, complete with names and descriptions. And the Halo Wars 2 main menu showed off the high quality versions of the units.

I like this.
Like Ebsiylon said, it’s been done before, and now with all the models we have available to us, I’m sure it could be done again and even better. Plus, it would also give our guys over at the 405th more of a hands-on and game-accurate reference to build their stuff, and evidently 343 loves those guys (i mean cmon, they’ve been kind enough to give out basic details for GEN2 undersuits, they’ve been featured in CUs countless of times, and Grim even canonized the Barvo helmet) so it would only benefit from there.

Even then, as a sort of possible benefit if this actually happens, people might be able to get the models directly onto their PCs if Halo 6 is part of Microsoft’s Play Anywhere deal, giving them ideas on how to create their own. Hell, look at the models over at Source Filmmaker. Those are accurate as it is, imagine what they’d look like if they were the actual models from the game.

Provided they don’t need to divert people and resources from the rest of the game (which I assume they wouldn’t, but who knows), sure.

But if it does end up requiring some kind of shifting of personnel and resources, I wouldn’t mind it if it were left out of the game (at launch or just entirely).

OMG! this would be a god-send for fan art. Yes please. Halo has some of the best art design in games, anything that gets more people to appreciate it more is a-ok with me.
( )/

Good one, but do not forget the dedicated 2D artworks as well.

I really want a gallery of unreleased concept art.

Yeah sure why not? The artists put alot of time into each one of those concept arts.

Yeah, I remember that Halo CEA art gallery too, it was great.

I would imagine a company could set this up on behalf of 343 Industries without having to take away resources or manpower away from the teams hard at work on MCC and Halo 6

i agree, it’d be greatly appreciated. plus getting to view the 3d models and hopefully having the option to alter your view of the object can also help those of us that are trying to learn to draw the halo universe from reference

definitely a cool idea especially with unreleased concepts, possibly being able to put the 3D models into a small room to be able to walk around them

I’d love it if that was in the game, getting to look at all Grunt 3d models. :smirk:

Nice, but it could be an over the top ambition for a simple first try to a non-commercial initiative, nonetheless definitely interesting idea, albeit perhaps more feasible as an addon to Halo6 for example.

I think that when Halo 6 comes out. Its collector’s edition should feature an art gallery book. With variants of art about many battles or memorable moments of the Halo franchise.
