My guess it’s gonna have something to do with the forerunner tech buried deep in reach, since that’s kind of a running theme in the books lol. Plus I don’t see any human or covenant tech doing toe to toe with guardians. As far as what exactly it would do, have no guesses at this point.

Unfortunately this will probably be like Bad Blood in that no major plot revelations will happen in this book due to 343’s stated desire for Infinite to be more welcoming to newcomers. But it is nice to know what the Infinity crew is up to during the interim period between 5 and Infinite and that they weren’t just hiding on Infinity. Also good to have even further confirmation that 343 is continuing the Halo 5 storyline and isn’t going to retcon it into oblivion and cause a huge mess like what recently happened to Star Wars. At the very least, it’ll be something to cover the month or two from that to Infinite’s presumed launch. If only there were something like that to carry us until E3. Oh well.

I take it you are refering to the changed armors of Blue team? Well it was bound to affect them all and not just Chief, it would have looked ‘off’ if only chief had the new Gen.3 MK.VI armor and everyone else still had a spark of H5 in them.

This guy’s favorite Halo is 4 and least favorite is 3. That says it all.
I do like Halo 5’s depiction of Blue team, but it does lack classic halo appeal. The problem with Halo 4 and 5’s armor, in my opinion, is that the designs are too detailed and come off really busy looking. What I really like about Halo Infinite’s art direction is that it takes the best of ALL the halo titles and combines them into something great. When you look at the new Infinite chief, you can clearly see some Halo 4 and 5 style details in places they fit the best, but take the most inspiration from 2/3/reach. Emphasis on Halo 2 anniversary and Halo 3.
Also, what Fred (cluster of numbers go here) said is pretty much exactly what fans said when halo 4 was revealed. Bottom line: everyone is allowed to have their opinion, just be aware that if you cry and stomp your feet, no one’s going to take you seriously under consideration.
Blue team is probably there for the AI chip The containment device anyways it has something to do with stopping Cortana is my guess sense it’s castle base.
All I like to see is all the Spartans all green armor again like the Fall of Reach as them blue never felt right

Despite being a diehard Blue Team fan, this book does NOT interest me in the slightest. The cover art is just awful, why do Spartans have to look like children or children’s plastic toys again? I have had enough of this nostalgia pandering, it is really causing this franchise to go in an unhealthy direction. This is yet another undisputable piece of proof that the Halo community is a real threat to the franchise.
At this point, I am ready to permanently leave the franchise, and I will come back ONLY if the Bungie Halo pandering stops, which it seriously needs to because it’s not making the franchise better, it’s making the franchise a whole lot worse. The GEN3 armor does NOT even look new anymore, it is even more outdated than GEN2.

I really have to disagree with you on the fact that halo infinite’s MK VI armor takes the best of them all, if you download a picture of chief’s infinite armor and halo 3’s armor you’d find that nearly only the thigh piece of the armor has been reduced in size other than that it’s all the same.
I digged the armor in the first engine trailer
as it DID look like an artstyle mix that’s relevant to halo but now all i see is halo 3’s being copied and pasted.
Now about the novel’s cover art i liked the chief’s armor as it looks a bit bulky than we saw in the trailer but i have to ask, why each spartan of blue team has a different color again ? I mean i have no problem with their H4/5 armors but the idea to give every spartan a color is ridiculous. they’re a military unit, they should have unified color scheme or smth idk .
I’ve only one question. Does this story begin before, during or after the start of Halo Wars 2?
