First, the destroyed planet at the center of the Ark from Halo 3.
Then, if you’ve read Primordium, there is a part where the Halo ring that has been taken hostage by Mendicant Bias gets on a collision coarse with a planet… They can’t avoid the collision so they angle the ring so that the planet passes through the ring.
In the book, parts of the ring are destroyed and it rebuilds itself. But i don’t think it said the planet was destroyed. Maybe the gravitational forces ended up destroying the planet and it was moved to the center of the Halo 3 Ark? Or maybe these aren’t at all related.
The ring that did this is thought to be the seventh halo ring that still exists in 2556 or whatever year Halo 4 is in. And the science team in Primordium might be traveling to it. So maybe we will be visiting it in Halo 4.
Maybe the climax of the game will take us back to a Halo. It’s a Halo game after all, Halos will still feature somehow. Even Reach had Forge World on a Halo.
Remember in one of the CEA terminals when Guilty Spark said that there were origanaly 12 Halo rings? Could it be that that was one of them? because he said that 5 of those twelve were destroyed

that ring dosnt appear to be destroyed or damaged at all

It was mentioned in Primordium that Halo Rings could repair themselves.

what was the name of the planet, ive never read the books but it would have to be a very small planet for it to pass through the ring, im not debating or arguing im just curious.

I would like there to be a map set on an Installation hopefully 07 or the Greater Ark. But that is very interesting there will be much speculation until the game is released.
> Wait just one second. I’ve seen that planet before, in the very beginning Concept art trailer to be precise. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GNwbvyX4ra4

yes you’re right it is that panet but i wonder what planet it is, it cant be requiem because it dosnt a shield/cover surrounding it on the outside, in both the concept video and the one the OP is referring to it has a circle/crater like the opening portal on requiem so im confused.

Maybe Chief finds a way off of Requiem with the help of the UNSC Infinity later in the campaign.
