Halo Release Window Timeline....

I believe this will be the release window timeline for Halo over the next few years…
I believe this becuase I know I have read that Microsoft has wanted to annualize the Halo series. However, I don’t think Microsoft or 343i would do a copy and paste strategy like COD or Madden does.

Halo 4 - 11/6/2012

Halo 4 Expansion(ODST type game) - 9-11/2013…Launch Title and graphics expansion. (I believe the mandatory 8 GB installation has something to do with Halo 4 on XBOX 720.)

Halo 2 Anniversary(ON XBOX720)10 Year anniversary, just like Halo:CE
Anniversary
- 9-11/2014

Halo 5(ON XBOX720) - 9-11/2015

Halo 5 Expansion(ON XBOX720) - 9-11/2016

Halo 3 Anniversary (ON XBOX720) - 9-11/2017

Halo 6(ON XBOX720 or maybe XBOX 4 launch title) - 9-11/2018

I don’t see Microsoft going more than 6 years for the XBOX720. Several developers have come out saying the didn’t like this 8 year life cycle of the current consoles.

I’m calling those dates now. What do you think? I would love any feedback.

as i said b4 … farfetched but still anything can happen

Where did you hear a rumor about yearly Halo titles? I just don’t see it happening considering the number of years Halo 4’s been in the works and the size of 343’s team.

Just curious.

So why two of the same thread?

Why would they make a Halo 3 Remake thats Silly OP.

8GB is for Spartan Ops and map packs most likely. Because you have to download each episode, it’s not on disc.

Other deveolopers were working on various Halo games…ie Halo Wars and ODST. The same can be done here. ODST was just an expansion and Bungie still managed to give us Halo 3 and Halo Reach within three years of each other.

Also, I believe I heard about the annualization of Halo in OXM if I remember correctly, sorry I can can’t give you a link or anything.

> So why two of the same thread?

I think I made three actually, try to keep up.

J/K…More threads means you reach more people.

> So why two of the same thread?

I was about to ask the same question.

I have read that but I am just personally having a hard time of 343i dropping their AAA+ title only to kill it off a year later when XBOX 720 drops. I realize many people will keep playing it just like Halo 2 was played when 360 drops but you will surely see a dip in players. We have to remember we are in the world of COD: MW now (sadly I say that statement). COD was not a huge player like it was when XBOX 360 dropped and we were all still happy playing Halo 2 for 2 whole years until H3 dropped.

Because as much as 343i likes making games…I would bet they also like $$$.

Halo 3 Anniversary? We have yet to surpass Halo 3’s graphics…

> Halo 3 Anniversary? We have yet to surpass Halo 3’s graphics…

Did you read the dates…that is 2017…five years from now on the XBOX 720. What ever the 720 gives us in terms of graphics, it will be the systems best at this point.

I highly doubt there will be remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3.

I think 2 years is a reasonable time for Microsoft to want a Halo sequel. Yearly releases are just ridiculous. It only works for CoD because they hardly have to change anything except the Campaign, maps, and a few weapons.

I may be wrong but didnt they say they were already working on 5.

Graphics hasn’t changed all that much compared to previous years. It won’t need an upgrade until 2025 or so.
