Dural walked through the alien crypt, the heirarch leading his way. The place was dimly lit, the walls of it consisted of micro and nano-laminate causing it to have a glossy purple look to it. The floor was glass, and under it laid a Forerunner motherboard colored in black, the circuits being a slightly blue glowing color. Water flowed in between circuits of the motherboard, cooling it off as intended by the forerunners. The corridors were twenty feet in width, and half a mile in height. Circular light accents expressed themselves on the walls of the corridor, elevated at ¾ of the walls total height. “This place has been here since the begging of our divine ascendance, formerly a forerunner installation, this place became repurposed as our tomb,” The prelate spoke in a low, mid-raspy voice. “Yet now, this place shall hold the key to evolution, or disposition.” The two continued down the corridor til they reached a symmetrical door, circular in design, looking slightly like a purple metallic butterfly. The door opened automatically, leading to a small room, foreign languages written on the walls, a holographic screen with hieroglyphs displayed on them reported intel to watchers. An elevated circular platform was centered in the small data room, it was silver, and hovered like a still object, steps leading to it did the same. “Walk onto the platform, your armour will be waiting for you in the center of the city once you arrive.” The prelate told as he pointed out the way for Dural. Dural approached the elevated platform, baby steps he took. Broom! The platform made a muffled shift sound as soon as Dural’s foot took place on it. The platform slowly descended, it’s ring steps followed the descendance as if the platform fell perfectly in slow motion. Dural watched as he descended into an underground city of forerunner and covenant innovation. A fountain of holographic data flowed behind him on a screen the size of a skyscraper. Royal guards stood their position guarding the royal chamber. Plants flourished throughout the city, the place was dark purple, but well lit. The floor was the same as Dural observed in the corridors, except fitted to a more appropriate size for the city ground. Durals descending platform was centered in a total of thirteen others, extending outside of his own for other hierarchs to use. The platforms looked like decoration from the exterior, but so did everything else in Durals opinion. The roof of the city was rock shaped to benefit the geometry of the place, nano-laminated structures consisting around and on the coexisting rock structures. Holy water flowed through the roofs of the beige, marble bathing chapel. The chapels roofs where practically pools, they were circular in shape and blended into the roof of the chapel perfectly. Beyond the chapel were rows and rows of small covenant buildings with worshipers bowing to Dural in between the alleys. A long wide path split the rows of structures into two separate sections, one on right and the other on the left, honor guards stood strong, guarding the entrance for Dural. Durals silver platform slowly reached the ground, Dural beginning his exodus in his hall of fame. Cheering erupted from the crowds of covenant in the streets, meeting what would soon become their new gatekeeper.
