Future Halo Titles surrounding Forerunners
The Reclaimer Trilogy continues the story of the Master Chief after the horrific events of Halo 3, Covenant have lost control of the Halo rings with the Ark activating all of them. His story Continues with the Shield World, new enemies and new environments await him, with an ever present danger.
Known Forerunner species:
Monitor
Sentinel
Forerunner
Precursors (subcategory)
Small sentinels
We, the players have just only grasped one section in the Halo universe which is the Covenants story, their beliefs, and their culture. it is wise to step away, and look back with fresh eyes.
There will need to be replacements for the Covenant species for gameplay purposes

The most likely enemy would be the Precursor (singular. Also, they’re not a Forerunner sub-species) and an army of True Flood (meaning the fully realized Flood, built to accomodate a more primary enemy role) with rogue Forerunner technology and dissident Covenant/humans being a possible side enemy.
The Forerunners are not likely to be an enemy–if they were, the game would be over in ten minutes–but rather an ally, as the entire reason Halo 4 exists is because the Chief was sent to the Forerunners by Bias.

Wow, thanks. I guess you learn something new everyday. i had no idea the Precursors were that complex and were the true form. I also did know that there was a Precursor/ forerunner war along time ago that presumably stretched like 300 years.

Doubtful anything anything will replace the Covenant and expect them to serve a role in the reclaimer trilogy.

The OP said that they are apart of the Forerunner category, I know they are not Forerunner.
