Anybody on the forums done some real life Halo Warthog mods for their own rig? I was just curious whether you guys have done like partial conversions (winch, gas cans, paint, etc.) or some full on conversions. All thoughts and logic welcome.

I am actually thinking of making a real scout warthog. I have a kit car called a Bradley GT2. I was looking at it the other night trying to decide what to do with it. I noticed the body lines are really close to that of a warthog. Now it wouldn’t be an exact replica but with some modifications it could be close. The Bradley GT2 is built on a Volkswagen pan so I would get a lift kit for it, they make all kinds of dune buggy type parts for old Volkswagens so shouldn’t be to hard to find. Then make some roll bars, add the lights, and paint it flat black and it should look like an ONI scout hog.
Sounds spot on. I totally get at least having the aesthetic down. The Volkswagon chassis does have a lot goin for it with the offroad design. For me I will problaby stick with an elephant looking vehicle called the unimog.
Mercedes Unimog? Man, you’d have to rework the entire steering rack for that one. Most IRL hogs I know about were constructed from midsize SUVs. The WETA Hog for example was built on a nissan patrol or pathfinder, I don’t remember which.
I would make the Unimog into an Elephant -looking design.

You should try making it into a mammoth

Why mess around with Warthog stuff, when you can create a colossus.
