All of the Covenant in Halo: Reach look perfect really, with the exception of the Brutes (Halo 3 Brutes were best IMO) but I especially like the design of the Elites and all the different armors. From the Minor, to the Officer, to the General, to the Zealot (my personal favorite) the Elites in Halo: Reach look more intimidating and alien than in any other Halo game.
Which is why I wonder why 343 Industries hasn’t used the Halo: Reach designs since Halo: CE Anniversary. In Halo 4, they completely ruined the look of the Elites and all the Covenant, something which unfortunately carried over into Halo 5.
They could’ve made up for it with Halo 2 Anniversary, but instead they ended up going with entirely new models that I assume were meant to emulate the original Elites from Halo 2… but IMO, they just look weird, and only slightly better than the Halo 4/Halo 5 Elites. The multiplayer is even worse, as the new Elite armors in H2:A’s multiplayer follow the same freakish character design as in Halo 4.
I don’t get it. They used the Reach character models for almost every other Covenant race in both Anniversary games… except for the Elites. It doesn’t make any sense.
I would really love for 343 Industries to go back to the Halo: Reach designs for the Elites for any future Halo games, including Halo 6… especially if there are to be playable Elites again in the next Halo FPS.
Well if you ask me reach is when the cov got ruined… They were too easy to fight, wasn’t a fan of the drastic changes. CE-3 we’re pretty much just a graphic enhancement with small minor detail changes. Where as reach changed everything. that includes humans and Spartans. Granted reach is Spartan 3 program.
I think the Elites looked the best in the original trilogy, but the Reach ones look great too. I never had a problem with how the Elites look in H2A-- in fact, I rather liked that. But the ones in 4 and 5… Don’t even get me started.

The covenant forces in general looked great in Halo Reach, except the brutes which looked very peculiar indeed. But yes I really loved the elites in Halo Reach, they had great variety and it was easy to distinguish the different ranks/classes.

Hahaha no.
Anyway, I liked the armor designs of the Elites in Halo Reach, though not sure I agree with them changing up the colors.

IKR? But Halo: Reach’s Elites can be a challenge even on Normal.
The only place in all of Reach where I would describe Elites as being “easy to kill” is in 2x Score Attack where you do double damage, and even then they can still kick your -Yoink-.

I assume you think slow plasma projectiles are hard to strafe lmao. Just play them like you would a pro online and they are easy.
HALO 2 HAD THE HARDEST COV. Legendary was insane on h2. Every halo after wards has been easier by far.

Wasn’t counting Halo 2, as Bungie went overboard with that game’s Legendary difficulty, pretty much making so any enemy could kill in one shot.
Halo: Reach’s Elites on the other hand presented a reasonable challenge without being ridiculously OP.
