Good ole reach. Best halo game in my opinion so many fun times.
The campaign royally screwed established canon and proved that Bungie didn’t really care for the EU of their own franchise, and the game mechanics like bloom and armour abilities cougharmourlockcough made the multiplayer quickly lose its lustre.
I didn’t enjoy it all that much, but to each their own.
Halo Reach is the perfect Halo game to date for me, I had started Halo on Halo 3, but Halo 3 was too climactic for my little understanding of Halo and the multiplayer was horrid. Halo Reach and some more research gave me a broad look upon the Halo universe and it’s secrets. For a person whom prefers Multiplayer rather than campaign, cosmetics like the awesome armor customization/design, armor effects and nameplates just made it more fun and unique from other games in general.
Mechanics like armor abilities made the game more fun, it wasn’t just “I got better gun=rek nub”, there was more strategy a vague opinion. Armor Lock is annoying but nothing too difficult, hardly something to complain about since there are other gametypes.
Bloom provided a luck factor which was irritating, but I honestly never knew about that until Halo 4 was released… So I really didn’t care. The update did decrease bloom drastically.
Although the ranks pertain little to nothing in regards to skill level like in previous titles, reaching inheritor is a feat many have achieved and many more haven’t.
Even though I’m an inheritor I find incentive to play online to get commendations and to help a friend out or just to have fun!
The peak of Reach has passed and many Halo Reach vets have left, but the ones left make Halo Reach nevertheless thrilling, I play grifball and assassination towers now-a-days with a pinch or two of Slayer, Reach is practically the only game I play regardless.
I never purchased Reach, I disliked H2 and H3 that much I decided to skip it. Glad I did from what I hear from others, awful game apparently.
Reach was my favorite multiplayer wise. I had a blast with it and the arena was a good idea ranked wise. I just had more fun with reach and enjoyed it much more then any other halo MP.

HEAR HEAR!!
Reach was my first halo game to play multiplayer on and my favourite. I loved playing Invasion the most and a little SWAT too.

Its not my personal favorite, but I do really like it a lot
I had fun times too, messing around in Big team, playing forge and firefight
