Halo Reach won't start [Xbox one BC]

Hey guys I finally got back home from a 3 month business trip and was happy to download my favorite Halo game yesterday.
Download and installation worked fine for me, launched it and played a game of BTB and went to bed afterwards. Today I wanted to play some invasion, but when I launched the app it freezed while making horrible sounds so I went to the homescreen and closed it. But now it won’t start at all.
If I try to launch it the 360 logo appears, the auntie Dot loading screen follows, then the screen goes black and the app crashes instead of showing the intros of MS and Bungie.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and could help me out? Tried rebooting the Xbox, disconnected it from the power source for a few minutes, nothing worked so I would be extremely happy if someone could help me out.

PS: It synced my progress without any problem but it won’t show up on waypoint since I changed my Gt 4months ago, is there any way to get it back here?

The only thing I can think of is uninstalling and reinstalling it. You could try that.

Yeah, as JLtheStoneWall said, try reinstalling the game.

if that doesn’t work try clearing your system cache by holding the power button for 5-10 seconds then start up reach again hope this helps.

Mine did the same thing… I can’t remember clearly but believe I cleaned all Halo: Reach data off of my Xbone then launched it. Worked fine after that

The game glitches and lags wayy too much for my liking in all honesty. I don’t know how some people deal with it.

I’m having the exact same problem after installing it from the physical disc. And I’ve tried doing a reset and re-installing, it’s the same thing. The first time I run it after installation it works fine, but the next time I try to play it the game hangs once the music/drums start and begins skipping, giving me the horrible sound the OP spoke of. If I try to run it again after that it will make it to the Auntie Dot screen then kick me back out to the home screen.

Hover over reach, press the start button then go to game manage and delete the reserve space for the game then start it.

Thank you bro! That worked for me too.

I’ve had a issue where I started up my halo reach and prior to it my game worked fine everything was great. The next day I wanted to play some matchmaking so I started up my game and the Xbox one said I needed to clear my local saves. So I did that and now it won’t even start up halo reach anymore and I have no idea on how to fix it or retrieve my local saves. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Anything helps.

Yea i have that problem too, just the exact same way u have it.
