im connected to live on xboxone and 360 but for some reason when i put in reach its wants me to connect to live to access online features and then it wont connect. any idea whats going on?
I am having the same issues as well. What worked for me was a Full uninstall/Reinstall 
This is one of the small (or large depending on your perspective) problems with backwards compatibility. Not sure exactly why it happens, but the emulator sometimes doesn’t perform well when connecting to Live. You can attempt a re-install like suggested above.
However, I know definitively that removing and re-adding your profile to your One will solve the issue. Be sure not to delete any games and apps. This also takes less time than re-installing.

This is great to see that others are experiencing the same problem I’m having. I haven’t played Reach in over a year after playing nearly everyday since 2011. I tried removing the game and then downloading it again but multiplayer still will not connect. Also, I does not recognize my new xbox one account name. Anyone have any suggestions?
I’m kind of having that problem, mine is where when I go on reach It brings up the tab that you need to have Xbox live to be able to play but I have gold and I’m able to play other Xbox 1 games. When I press connect to live it brings me to Xbox 1 settings where everything there is fine but when I get on reach I can’t play multiplayer. I’ve tried re-downloading my game, my account, I’ve deleted my account from the 360 but now I can’t grt it back from not being able to have Xbox live? Restarting Xbox. If anyone got anything else please let me know. Reach is all I play on my Xbox
