I understand that at this point in time, Halo: Reach is old news. With the release of The Master Chief Collection, and the upcoming Halo 5: Gaurdians launch (in conjunction with it’s Beta, and the ODST Remaster)… 343 Industries really has a lot on it’s plate. That said, I would like to take the oppertunity to bring to light a thought that has been thrown around since the announcement of the Xbox One.
Halo Reach Remastered.
To many, Halo Reach was a blur. A kind of smudge on the prestigious Halo series because how much it changed the series we all love. It wasn’t revolving around our protaginist John for once, a Spartan II who laughed against the odds with an incredible back story and unforgettable series of events which we all experienced through Halo 1, 2 and 3. It was about the planet Reach, and how a team of five Spartan III’s and one Spartan II gave their lives to stop Reach, Earth’s last line of defence, from falling. It was, in my opinion, one of the most significant Halo games of all time. It was the perfect balance of story and action between it’s campaign and multiplayer. I, along with many others, fell in love with this game.
Many others indeed. Even today on Xbox 360, there is a very large and significant community of Halo lovers who [literally] spend a few hours every day competing in clan vs clan base raids, custom games and matchmaking. This community even goes as far as role playing, where clans form alliances and wage war against one another. The members all bearing the emblem on their armour, tailored to suit each class and division. Clans which expland with several divisions and even unique training to improve their tactics and team work! It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before in any other game, and if you don’t believe me, feel free to search “Halo Reach Clan” on YouTube or even Google to find numerous websites and videos relating the their affairs. It’s incredible.
This is why I, along with the rest of the Halo Reach Community, are so hopeful for a Halo Reach Remaster. No other Halo title has been able to offer such experience, balancing the formula that Reach got just right.
It’s why I, and the rest of the Halo Reach community ask, please, Remember Reach.
