Halo Reach Strafing
I personally have never experienced the crouch having ANY effect on the enemies ability to hit a player (from me shooting others, primarily). Maybe up close, and at the perfect time, but otherwise I have seen no benefit from it. In the past I would crouch for the 5th shot just to help the bloom reset but I have no evidence that it actually makes it more likely that your shot will register.
Strafing is pretty pointless on default movement settings; it’s still worth doing, but don’t expect to win battles because of your strafe (as opposed to the other player shooting too fast), at least against decent people. 120% speed, 200% gravity, ZB on the other hand, strafing REALLY shines (at least compared to default Reach); getting a 5 shot is like godly on those settings.

Zeus is a great guy. It may seem unnecessary to do what is suggested, but hey, to do less is worse.

Don’t forget unneeded strafe acceleration >.> At least Anniversary god tier strafes will return. I’ve always felt strafing isn’t as effective (note: not impossible) in roflReach. Then you have the massive amounts aim assist and that just all bad.

Yea, CEA Title Update will change alot of things thankfully, I cant wait for it.

Because stafing in Halo 3 was so much better lol. They need uber stafing like CE to make it work the way that it needs to.

Yep, Hoping in Halo 4 343 keeps the original Halo 3 Master Chief Setttings. And im scared of armor abilities being in there from the trailer where Chief had a JetPack.

Well, in 343’s defense, Master Chief actually had those thrusters in all three games about him. He only uses them in Halo 3 though, and it is only in the last cutsceene I believe.

Oh, I havent noticed them before. There better still be no Armor Abilites or I am going to be pissed lol.

Those are just built in zero G thruster packs to navigate in space. It’s not a jet pack because it wouldn’t have much effect in stable gravity.
Equipment wouldn’t be so bad, at least then you had to actually go out and get them (Halo 3) versus being spawned with them (Reach).

Thats actually a pretty good idea. Could Even out the gameplay with pick upable sprints and such.
For some reason, and I don’t know why, I HATE it when people do a quick crouch while strafing. Don’t get me wrong, it never throws me off, it just makes me want to kill them more. And I usually do, followed by a “OH YEA BIG MAN, THAT COMPLEX STRAFING DIDN’T DO CRAP, EAT MAH BULLETS”.

I’ve found that crouching while strafing usually doesn’t do much in terms of being able to kill someone. You also need to throw in some mixed long and short strafes. But other than that, not a bad tutorial!

You cant strafe EFFECTIVLEY In Halo reach.Its useful though but not as useful as Halo 3 And the other Halos.
