OP, just so you know, you can’t customize your in-game representation at all - no matter what you do your spartan will perform exactly like all the others. Armor is completely useless.
How is visual customization not your representation?
Why would they force in personal mechanical customization that Halo never had (aside from 4) as opposed to entirely cosmetic multiplayer customization Halo always had to some degree, like you’re implying this person is asking about?
Or wait maybe you’re just beating a horse that never existed by repeatedly posting the same dreck about your beef with character customization.
Your opinion in laughable. If armor is useless why are 343 monetizing the hell out of it in Infinite? It’s because Armor IS representation, it helps with the experience, it allows you to put yourself in that world. All though given your post history, I doubt you’re able to comprehend that fact.
What opinion are you referring to? I said only facts. If 343 is making money off of slightly different pixel configurations which are viewable to others not yourself then that goes to show you how dumb people actually are. None of anything available in the store will affect anyone’s gameplay in any way at all. It’s all completely worthless.
No you said only opinion, nothing you state has been factual, 343 knows how important customization is to Halo players, Microsoft knows this too, that’s why they monetized the hell out of it, because they know it’s important to a lot of players.
You may want to re-read my above posts if you think I’m not being truthful. I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea that the armor has a purpose or function in-game - none of it does anything and that’s a simple fact. I haven’t wasted my time unlocking any of it yet I tend to do quite well for the most part. Again, there’s no customization at all here - none of anything you unlock in this game will make your halo experience any different.
Sure we would provided shots registered the same. It would just be a smaller target, that’s all. The pink stick figures would still take damage and die the same way as the characters do now, they’d just be harder to hit.
How am I trolling when I’m telling the simple truth? Please let me know if I’m wrong and if any of the armor actually has some kind of effect - if that’s the case I’ll gladly respond to these types of threads with that in mind in the future. As far as I know none of it does anything.
You aren’t talking the truth. Armor does have an effect, immersion. That’s arguably if not directly as important as the actual gameplay. Notice how Infinite is bleeding players like an Erupting Volcano but a lot of people are going back to MCC? It’s not just cause the gameplay is better, it’s cause the armor is too.
Like I said above, I have unlocked absolutely nothing and use whatever default “armor” is available. Your claim of being “immersed” in a completely fictional universe holds no merit. I have no problem at all winning games without any of it.
As for Infinite losing players I hear it’s a bad game and quite incomplete. I was briefly tempted to download it and see for myself but after seeing all the negative feedback I have no desire
“Armor” is meaningless in these games - none of it serves any purpose at all and will not actually defend the player from anything as the name implies. Similarly, there is no customization available as a default spartan is equivalent to an “armored” one. Tinker with the “armor” all you want - it won’t help you at all.
As for Forge, I never bothered with it simply because I knew I couldn’t come up with better maps than Bungie did.
I wasn’t asking for this take, I was informing you the majority of people do consider armor as content and that if you dont, maybe you should form your own opinions rather than listen to anothers.
Then yet again, maybe Halo infinite is up your alley
If that’s the case, then the “majority” of people are wrong - all armor in every Halo game is useless. If that is what is considered “content” in today’s gaming world then the average gamer - to put it extremely mildly - has no common sense at all. I just logged onto the MCC and have 468 yellow/blue cubes available. I clicked on season 8 and was immediately promoted to unlock “BELOS HERAN”. What benefit what I get from doing so?
