Do you feel that the Sniper in Reach is far too easy? The sheer difference in difficulty in comparison to, say, the Halo 3 Sniper is palpable. I just feel it’s far too easy to land easy, close-range no-scopes with the sniper.
Thoughts?

its not as easy as the Halo 2 Sniper Rifle, i could pop body shots and still get counted as headshots.
Bullet magnetism and the insane amount of aim assist need to go down.

Well in halo 2, kills with bodyshots or headshots with the sniper/beam rifle awarded the sniper medal
I thought it was way too easy, but it feels pretty good when you’re playing with no bloom.
It’s easy to use because there’s no time between your target and your bullet. In other words, once you shoot at your target, it’s an instant hit. there’s no travel time. By the way, this is only for precision weapons.

This. This Entirely.
IMO, its perfect with Zero Bloom. Sure the Halo 3 Sniper would be the best, but Zero Bloom really balances the Sniper out because people can’t line shots up as easily.
Halo CE sniper was the hardest to use by far, you felt like high fiving your teammate every time you got a headshot kill.
It does feel insanely easy to use. There have been many times I’ve sniped somebody and was fairly sure it was a body shot. I think it’s just the huge hitboxes, though.

Huge aim assist, head hitbox is the size of watermelon. Go figure.
Apparently Bungie assumed that the Sniper was too hard to use in Halo 3 and decided to make it so that you can snipe even if you played with your toes.
Still, the sniper i stay away from not because it’s terribly hard to use. No, i just don’t like blood shots on my okay connection >.< would be headshots simply go right through…
