When I try to get on Halo Reach to play matchmaking, it says playlist data pending download or the Halo Reach servers are unavailable at this time. Been like this since 5a.m. What is wrong? Please fix or give a solution.
They are most likely down while they try to fix the stats not updating for the past week.
We believe this issue has been resolved. Are you still experiencing difficulties?
Matchmaking is back up and I can find games again, but Service Record still seems to be down completely
Agreed, while the issue with the server itself has been resolved and the matchmaking functions well. The retrieval of data for the service record is not functioning at all. I assume you are aware of that issue however.
On a sidenote: I appear to be a default spartan, but upon pressing start everything is as it should be. While the patch restored many a rank to the halo reach community, those that ranked up while offline remain a recruit, with no service tag.
Would appreciate feedback as soon as possible.

Hey I don’t know how to easily reach an admin but when the server went down I became a recruit and I was fine because I thought it would go back like my friends profile did. Mine didn’t go back at all still a recruit for some reason can someone help me … When I go to my service record on waypoint I can see that I am a commander still.
I believe the reason your account is still a recruit is due to the fact that the retrieving and updating between your stats and the service record cannot be done at this moment in time.
Let me explain:
Most people appear to have gotten their ranks back and their accounts seem to function as intended. However, you may have noticed that you cannot retrieve data via the service record to see their statistics or your own for that matter. This would also affect the updating of recent changes. Now you may ask yourself ‘But my friends are showing up with armour and they are not recruits?’ and my guess is that their data hasn’t changed much from the data on the server.
So my advice is sit tight and just play online as normal. Once the service record is available then it should either:
A) Reset you back to your previous statistics before the server went down.
B) Update the service record with the most recent changes made to your profile.

You needn’t do anything. You can play Halo 4 or any other Halo, even Halo: Reach. It just means you’ll have to wait for the service record to become available so it can update/retrieve data from the server.
Your accounts data on Halo: Reach should revert back to normal when this issue is resolved. (:

I’m experiencing the same thing now. It’s 9 pm and it has been like this since 5 pm. I know this has been discussed in many places but I couldn’t fix it with the solutioıns I found. I just would like to know if the servers are currently down for maintenance or something like that.
Oh man, thank jimity jam reach is back online. I was worried that good old 343 cut the servers.
