Why on Earth would 343 change the designs of every other vehicle, character, weapon, and sound, yet the designs for the mongoose, banshee, and scorpion remain 99% unchanged from the Reach designs? If anything, the designs should be that of Halo 3. But why divert so much time and energy into things such as well, Master Chief for example. Now when I play Halo 4, Every time I use one of these three vehicles I will think I’m playing Reach! I don’t want to be reminded of a last ditch, stand alone prequel game that came before the Halo saga. I want to be blown away by new design of vehicles and such, not feel like I’m playing a game add-on for Reach.
You will survive.
I like the designs.
Looked new to me.
> Looked new to me.
Compare them to the old designs. They are exactly the same, save a few lights and decals.
No need to fix something that isn’t broken.
You’ll live.

Models are the same, the textures are completely new.
Why is there no “I don’t care” option in the poll?
Seriously, they look fine. Even so, being reminded of Reach shouldn’t kill the experience.
> You’ll live.
That’s not the point I’m trying to make. They go and change EVERY OTHER DESIGN, except three vehicles.
i agree with the OP.
the designs of the vehicles should be linear with the story progression
they should look similar to Halo 3 or be completely original.
NOT nearly identical to the Furthest timeline event in the halo games series (aka Reach)
mostly im just complaining because i dont like the look of the Reach Banshee and I’m mad that they kept it the same…
just looks stupid to me
There is no need to get worked up over 3 vehicals. They didn’t look bad before, so they wont look bad in halo 4.

So, they probably won’t change the design of the revenant or wraith either. The design for the ghost hasn’t changed much either aside from a few small things. The covenant vehicles should look the same or atleast similar over each halo game, it makes sense.
To add insult to injury, nearly all of the Covie weapon models are unchanged. How come the UNSC sandbox gets a full make over while most Covie weapons (including the fuel rod gun!!) remain the same?
Covie weapons that I can name as changed:
-Storm Rifle
-Carbine
-Beam Rifle
-Energy Sword
What’s 343 trying to pull here? :s What about the Needler?!!
Vehicles are disposable so it’s not much of a big deal. Weapons on the other hand are our treasured tools. They all deserve treatment.

Doesn’t seem like 343 gets that concept when it is applied to core gameplay.
Whilst I do agree that they do appear to resemble strongly to their Reach brethren, I do enjoy their graphical appearance all the same.
I will admit, it is rather odd the UNSC/Covenant would divert back to earlier models of their vehicles than keep with their newer designs.

Five. Falcon and Ghost are copy & paste jobs as well.
They’re just trying to leave their mark with a new look

What are you talking about?
The Storm rifle is new, the energy sword looks virtually the same as reach and the carbine looks like a skinnier version of the halo 3 Carbine and the Needler looks virtually the same as reaches aswell.
The only weapon that looks changed to me is the Beam rifle.

And the needler, though very similar to Reach’s version, is now a nice dark-blue/purple color.
I really dislike what 343 has done to the covenant equipment. That being nothing. Seriously, the only thing new to for the covenant are the storm rifle and the new look of the beam rifle. That’s it, all the vehicles shown (banshee, ghost, wraith and even the phantom) look all the same from reach.
