I searched and I couldn’t find it. How can I get this flaming head in 2017? No luck on Ebay. A new Legendary Halo Reach is about $500. No way! Used legendary editions not only are about 300, they don’t usually include downloadable content.
I know that a player could give it once to another player. Could anyone do that?

Th only way you can get it is from buying the legendary edition and getting a code from there. Licence transferring goes against Xbox Terms of Service, so I would advise against doing that. Getting a code today is going to be extremely hard, you’re more than likely out of luck I’m afraid

Be thankful you’re not trying to get the blue flaming helmet. That’s impossible to get now.

You can get it off sites like ebay either with legendary edition or by its self. Either way be careful as I did see an expiry date on my code when I got it in 2012.

Yes, I had to buy a legendary edition of the game, and I got it! The game was used but DLC had not been opened! Not cheap, though.

Well, you can if you’re willing to pay for one, it’s just really expensive. I think the only things you really can’t at all get are the blue flames and the nameplates because those were through Bungie.

I’m aware of paying $500 for little helmet. Just really no point.
I remember seeing a legendary edition of Halo Reach a year or two ago in a Best Buy… but I wouldn’t recommend spending the money on just this helmet.
You could always check your local Wal-Mart online (Don’t just walk in and ask if they have it, they likely will not check, unless you show them their website states they have an onhand count for said item). I know this may sound odd, but you would be surprised what they tend to hold onto as they usually tend not to throw away/salvage video games and usually end up collecting dust in their electronics/security room. Only downside is you will be paying base retail price for the Legendary Edition if they do have a copy of the Legendary Edition, but that is better than paying the price on eBay, which is jacked up.
